I didn't hear Geale say anything about less time... but if he wants all the people in his country to watch, he's gonna want all the time he can to train
I understand the second part. But a week before doesn't seem like a major obstacle, IMO. Going off that might be kinda harsh to use if we're gonna call Geale a ducker. Not saying you are, just anyone in particular.

Both schedules are open. I don't know, and won't act or try to understand Aussie TV. So if Geale says he can do it a week before or after, then why not try to work something out? It's a good name and it makes sense to show it the week after Manny-Bradley

I just remembered that Hopkins/Shumenov will be in April after March got booted. and the 19th/26th was being targeted....obviously on the 19th so they don't collide.
So they'll have to communicate with GBP/Showtime about that date change. Might not be a problem, might be.

HBO just recently soaked Showtime on ratings with Mikey-Burgos. I think they did the same with the Rigo card as well late last year. Them going head to head has never really been an issue. Is it ******, yes. Has it happened, of course.

But I'm just saying. I'd rather go against Hop instead of Mayweather the week after the 26th

if Geale was willing to fight triple G he'd already have done it. same for Sturm & Murray. there'll always be one excuse or another.

I highly doubt they go head to head or even try to. Both shows can get over a million, neither will want to water down their numbers by going head to head. Hopkins/Shumenov won't hit a million if they're on the same date.

so HBO wanted Geale to lose his Aussie TV money and hurt his brand in Australia because if his fight isn't on TV there he gets no extra money from it and loses the potential exposure.

HBO couldn't move it one week??

you can't call it a duck when one side offers terms that aren't acceptable. Golovkin won't fight Ward unless he gets equal money and that isn't a duck but Geale not only has to lose money and exposure in his homeland or he's considered a ducker?

that's GGG fan logic for you

And I think HBO wouldn't mind that. Their highest rated fighter of last year, on the heels of Pac-Timmy, being showcased in NYC..

What's there not to like about that? The numbers from the replay alone will do well over a million. They'd most likely beat Showtime in ratings again.. I mean, I see nothing but positives with this scenario

Why do something that's bad for everyone?
HBO has also been trying to rebuild their relationship with GBP....why would they keep burning the bridge?

Also UFC has a PPV that night... two boxing shows and a UFC PPV, bad for everyone

Certain people really seem to hate on GGG and find any excuse to say something negative about him ... I wonder why that is?

Geale basically admits he just ducked GGG ... and that results in these certain people attacking GGG ... lol hilarious.

I read his Sturm Ppv got 4000 buys, not sure if true. He also just passed on an offer for Monaco cause he wanted to be on hbo. So much for your theory about HBO protecting GGG from "mobile" fighters
