He's not going to have a choice soon. He wants to unify at middleweight, but these guys are freezing him out. His only hope is the Martinez/Cotto winner. If Martinez looks good, there's not much chance he gets Alvarez or Mayweather, and I think Sergio is a prideful enough guy to demand Golovkin. If Cotto wins, maybe Mayweather or Alvarez play hardball and Cotto tells them to **** off before fighting Golovkin since he's ballsy like that sometimes.

If that doesn't happen, and it's not likely, he'll be forced up either late this year or next.

If Martinez wins, he's probably gonna hold out for Canelo. If Cotto wins, he'd probably be the only guy that could get Floyd to come to 60. And he's even more likely to fight Canelo than Martinez. I suspect Sturm and Geale are gonna explore a remach with each other before a GGG fight. I don't think its so much that they're freezing GGG out. He just doesn't really bring anything to the table to make himself a must opponent.

I'm hoping he takes the Golovkin fight at the end of the year... but I'm starting to doubt it. HBO would probably put this fight on PPV and there's no room for PPV for this year anymore...like none. Canele wants his last 2 to be PPV (Will probably get one more after March) then 1 more Mayweather, then 1 more Pac, the JCC Jr in the summer.... too much.

He'll probably defend against Rubio then take a fight next year against Golovkin

I'm so desperate to see at least one of these fighters in the ring with Golovkin at this point. I thought Macklin would open the doors, I thought he was just the first of many. Nope, even with HBO behind him no one wants to fight Golovkin.

I really do think Sergio will demand that fight if he's relatively healthy. He strikes me as someone who would hear the ducking talk and take offense. So hopefully he is hearing the ducking talk.

I would love to see Golovkin vs. Bika. Bika would probably be the best guy Golovkin would have ever fought

I think at this point it's bound to happen. Evidently he doesn't have a contract that ends in a year or so, it looks like he has a fight by fight basis contract...so he'd have to fight an HBO approved opponent. Sergio has openly stated that he wanted to go to Showtime and fight Mayweather/Canelo.... so HBO will most likely put him through the ringer and face GGG to finish out.

No I'm pretty sure he fights fir a small promoter. He's been on HBO last year in fact and was mulled fir a potential Ward rematch.

Then he'll most likely fight Chavez Jr. then... I thought he was with GBP.
Arum brought up those other people, but if Bika is with neither, Bob will try and make this. He's ranked highly and I think Bika just polished off a mando

Di Bella would likely prevent that. As long as Golovkin gets in with one of Sturm, Murray, Geale or Martinez by the end of 2014 I think he'd be making some progress. If he doesn't get any of them, he doesn't really improve his legacy much.
