This card will be awesome. Can't wait to see my boy swift back in action. Also deontay wilder taking his first challenge against an opponent who actually has skill is something that's must see.

In what way does Danny's comment or decision affect you? What's the problem on being born in one country and feel being part of another country because of your own family? In case you don't know, Puerto Ricans are as Americans as white Americans, Black Americans, Hawaiians, etc, and, The American race is not a pure race like Chinese people or Indians, so, wtf you talking about? If Danny feels that way, so be it. Life will go on. And another thing, yes we will embrace Danny here at Puerto Rico. A whole lot of people speaks English here at the island, so, communication between Danny and the fans here at Puerto Rico will be OK.

Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory. Everyone born in Puerto Rico is a U.S. citizen. There is no such thing as a Puerto Rican citizen.

You wont believe the amount of idiots that are supporting him. Mofo's didnt even know about him until Judah and now they are his biggest fan. Bunch of nationalistic mamones.

Peter Rivera is a liar. For Floyd/Cotto we saw the biggest crowd ever in PR for a press conference. The hype was there from the moment it was signed.

I am impressed with Jake. He do his homework or he is marry to a puerto rican lol.

On principle, Danny won his title fighting out of Philadelphia. In my eyes he is always going to be a Philly fighter. But I am glad he actually is trying to connect with his father culture. Good for him.

Plenty? The only Puerto Rican Hall of Famer that was born in the United States is Wilfred Benitez (Bronx, NYC). I don't know how much time he spent on the island in the past, but be he lives there now. Since I was in my early teens when he was in his heyday, I don't remember how well "El Radar" was regarded in P.R.

"American" refers to nationality, not race.

Tu le vas a hacer caso al imbecil ese? Benitez desarrollo su fan base very early in his career. He stayed close to his root from the beginning.

I'm am kinda split on this. This whole time Danny and his dad have been Philly this and philly that. Now some marketeer probably said, hey moe dollahs if you tap into the PR fight scene as right now, they are hurting.

Danny is a phillydelphian at heart, not rican. Even Angel's spanish is ****ed. We do have many ignorant nationalists in PR that follow people just to follow and they are toting a PR flag.

For those that don't know **** about Puerto Rican heritage, culture or history needs to limit their remarks to boxing or get their facts straight. I don't have a problem with someone being born outside of PR and claiming their heritage because that's what they want. I do, when it'$ beneficial to them. Point in case Marc Anthony. That ***** speaks the language, embraces the culture and has made a point to claim his heritage, even with all the push back he has had.

Point in case, I think he should remain a phillydican and call it a day. I'll follow him regardless coz he his boxing has won me over as a fan, not where he is born or what he claims.

True story....I was talking to a friend of mine a few months ago who's a straight up casual fan...don't know a jab from hook....he said "yo you was right about that Rican kid"....I don't know how anyone can deny him his Ricaness ....for real though, Swift is Rican and I'm glad that most Ricans here see him as one of their own...some people just like to make issues outta non issues....his veins got that Boricua blood flowing through....that's all that really matters
