  • Is Gatti Going into the Boxing Hall of Fame?

I say yes. Not an "instant" HOFer, but he is too popular for the people to not put him in the HOF.

And he has done a lot for the sport. Likeable guy. Entertaining. Never been in a dull fight.

Let me add; will he and should he are different things.

I think so, and basically for the same reasons. He has a cult following, and has done a lot for the sport. He is not, and never will be, one of the best fighters in the world, but his in-ring dramatics(always a candidate for fight of the year), will probably get him in. If I had a ballot, I'd vote for him. He's a class act, and one of the most exciting fighters in the history of the sport.

I think he will get in for sure and if he becomes a three division champ by beating Baldomir and becoming the true beltholder at 147, I think its pretty much instant access. In the post-HW days of Bowe, Holyfield, and Lewis with guys like Oscar and Tito fighting less and less and winning less, Gatti has done a lot for the sport and its fans. No he is not the best fighter in the world but he's no clubfighter either

Definitely should not get in. Popularity does not put you in the Hall of Fame.

if non fighters can get in they should let gatti in easy. and he will i think for sure. theyve had worse fighters in too im sure. pipino cuevas made it so gatti should. i put them in about the same category i think.
