Personally I think this is a good fight but after Lee, Golovkin should face a top 5 middleweight.

lee is a very tall, good size MW. he's going to be way too slow of foot and too stiff in the upperbody to beat golovkin.

i've seen lee fight live. his upperbody is about as slow as you'll see in a world class fighter. i was shocked at how stiff he looked.

**** fight. Lee is not a good boxer.

Any name value he has is based purely on Manny Steward praising him, not what he has done in the ring.

After Lee I would prefer a top 5 middleweight but other than Quillin these should do because the middleweight division isn't exactly stacked:

          Daniel Geale
          Martin Murray
          Brian Vera
          Marco Antonio Rubio

So after running his mouth Daniel Geale punks out once again? Turned down the Monaco fight saying he wanted it to be on HBO so they would do it in April. Hopefully this isn't true and after Geale's Feb 19th fight it will be signed.

BoxRec always does this for every rumor. No reason to assume it's official, especially two days after Golovkin fought.

Finally, Golovkin steps up his competition! I really didn't think Golovkin would take this fight, I'm impressed.

Lee ain't bad, but doesn't offer any real threat to Golovkin - really I'd been hoping for Geale (since it appears that Murray is off the cards) but Lee ain't really far off the pace - possibly a little below Macklin or Murray, but competitive with either...

Given the options (which are pretty limited with no Maravilla, Sturm, Murray, Quillin or Rubio, with Barker finished and Macklin beaten) I guess Lee's just about acceptable if this in fact turns out to be correct and not just Boxrec jumping the gun (as they have been known to do).

Sam Soliman would be OK I guess, as would Geale or even Mora ahead of Andy Lee, but it could be worse.
