HI....you try too hard to sound "smart" with your comments, but you just sound plain dumb..OK friend, tell me what makes you so good and knowledgeable in the game,or gives you the right to insult people whom are just stating their opinion...Do you box?I do and many people do,do you study the sport? I somewhat do but many people here are real experts...It is quite simple,we,the fans, die hard fans, don't want to see him fight those fighters, let alone casual fans..Maidana has all my respect but we all know his style and its tailor fit for mayweather, khan, man you saw how he looked against diaz, horrible but whats worse its what mayweather said pac didnt deserve the fight since he has 2 loses, kinda contradictory dont you think?
Money wise(and thats his business)its to make a lot of money, for one fight alone, pac is the one that brings the most, and yes,pac already announced his fight but mayweather hasnt so it was possible to be made, even now, since theres no promotion for pac bradley...GGG could go down to 154 but yeah i cannot blame mayweather for not taking that fight since its too much risk very low reward and doubt GGG will go down to 150....I dont know who Mayweather should fight that will bring the PPV sales ,but without a great undercard we all know it wont do 1 million buys if he fights khan or maidana, but once again, its my humble opinion..BTW a piece of advice,if you stop your childish way of approaching people, your demeanor of mr know it all, people might take you more seriously..I hardly ever post anything, but it seems you tend to bring the best of people.

He let it slip because he didnt make a conscientious effort to make the fight happen. Floyd could've made the fight and likely won a long time ago. Regardless if he picks Khan or Maidana, his PPV buy rate will fall in this fight and for the year unless he picks someone that sparks fans' interests. Whether he likes it or not, he needs to make the Pac fight happen. If this next fight does not do well, which it wont, then I can easily see the Showtime execs having some hard conversation with Floyd about what opponent needs to be considered for the numbers to deliver on the level they had forecasted. Floyd doesn't HAVE to do anything, but rest assured the powers that be at Showtime will not keep letting the fight numbers tank and will expect a credible and intriguing opponent in September.

I respect Floyd for his level of talent, but when the guy wants you to pay $60-70 to watch him fight only 2x per year, then I and alot of other boxing fans at this juncture are only going to do that if the matchup is genuinely compelling. Otherwise, I'll just wait for the replay.

Really Floyd, look for other options for your May fight. There is no demand at all for a Khan fight, and though Maidana is a warrior, neither of these fights are worthwhile. Bar none, the best fight out there for your is Pac, but now you've let that opportunity slip until at least the end of the year as he's already signed to fight Bradley. This would be the highest grossing fight in boxing history and make you more money than any other option. I mean really, what are you afraid of? If you truly are as great as you say you are, then as a champion you should take all comers.
If the Pac fight just cannot be made until September, then consider Lara at 154 or Golovkin at a CW. Or even Peter Quillin at a CW. What you need to understand is that the fans want to see you in a competitive match up- it's just not compelling to see you fight someone who is obviously overmatched and/or hasnt earned the opportunity. If you truly have the power in the boxing community that you've said you have, then you have the pull to make the most compelling matchups that the fans want to see. I realize there will always be critics no matter what, but you need to be able to justify what choice you make.

              • Floyd knows Khan has like a million followers, compare that to Maidana.... He knew Khan would get more votes even before he put this bs poll up.
