If Duran isn't top 20 how have you got mayweather at 3? How many ATG's has he beat?

well he got lucky because he never beat ray again or any other atg again after that victory, so no you dont get ranked top ten atg losing against all fo the other greats of your era.
"this guy" was like 70-1 and had already won fighter of the decade in the 70's.

it's not like he was jose luis castillo...

He came up short when he was way past his prime yes, but he gave it a good go. He also beat Iran Barkley, which was a pretty damn good win at MW.

I still can't see how you can deny this man his place in the top 20, borderline top 10.
there are fighters who actually dominated more than one weight class duran dominated weak opposition at 135 when he moved up he lost to every big name there was, so no he is not top ten off one victory, guys like sweet pea moved up and was able to dominate more than one weight class they get credit for that duran would be getting credit for losing.

top 30-40 and if i really think about it he may drop further.

not one defense of a title outside of 135 thats not top ten or top 20 atg material
