History tells us that dropping down to a weight class you haven't been as a low as in over a decade is never a good idea.

He's never even fought any lower than MW in his entire professional career.

I have huge doubts he makes 154 in a healthy manner. I have no reason to believe anything else.

No point even talking about it. Both guys are locked into exclusive network contracts. GGG can't fight Quillin either and Martinez and most other MWs are ducking him. There's also no one at JMW of note willing to move up to take the fight. Ward should consider moving up himself but he's staying at 168 to keep fights like GGG open to him and the guys are 175 aren't going anywhere.

Golovkin more likely to be drained at 154 than Canelo was at 152 so if anything he would be more likely to take this fight.

wasn't there a guy who said weight doesn't matter? forgot who said that cept its always his fans that come on here crying about weight. floyd fights at 154, golovking will fight him at 154. what's the problem? maybe he will be drained but a drained golovking is still a lot better than a drained canelo. canelo's style is to stand in the center of the ring, that would never work against floyd. floyd knew that. he studies opponents meticulously. who to fight, who not to fight. floyd can either fight lara or golovking next, otherwise just retire.

Not when said fighter is established at that weight class. It's always a disadvantage for the fighter moving down.

Pac is a completely different scenario, because he was never established at WW, and who knew what the hell he'd look like.

Eddie chambers Chris Byrd Chad Dawson and a myriad of others move down because they feel it'll give them an edge. No one moves down to give the guy they're fighting a chance to slap them around it just ends up that way most times. It's the intention that makes someone a bully not the result.

I don't consider GGG a bully he's just chasing the big fights like everyone else. He can forget about getting a mayweather fight though.
