I still don't understand why people keep insisting that GGG fight at 154. 31 years old and moving down an entire weight class is a bad idea and it could ruin his career. Of course, there's no way to tell how his body would react until he tries it. IF it was a guarantee that GGG would NOT be drained as hell then I'd say go for it.

For those who plan on bringing up Canelo or Khan, 1- I was never OK with the 152 cw. 2-The Khan fight is an absolute joke. I pray it doesn't happen.

Isn't calling out the number. 1 GOAT fighter ever a more risky fight for Gennady than Ward though? Floyd's ring IQ is off the charts!

Canelo was bringing in much more viewers and fans if that's what your getting at. Guerrero and Khan not as much though.
          Once again... hardly.

In regards to Mayweather only fighting sure thing's as opposed to Golovkin.

When Golovkin's the closest thing to a "sure thing" to be drained since Chad Dawson.
golovking has the style to beat floyd, being drained is the only thing that would save floyd. hence it's a risk. canelo who just stands in the center of the ring was never a risk.

I'll say the same thing I've said for all these years Martinez has said the same:

Put up or shut up. Move down to 154 and prove you can still fight at that weight. Otherwise, I'm not interested.

Resume wise what potential did Canelo bring? A gift vs Trout?

Floyd has been running scared of a guy who is just as small or smaller than he is for years... He also drained Canelo after fighting Cotto at 154. Don't except this coward to take on Golovkin, he knows Golovkin would kill him.

I'd be more impressed if Floyd moved up to 160 to fight him. I know he's small and would likely be 156 tops on fight night, but GGG only blows up to like 168.
