    Can you blame him though?

I think GGG is just as scared to fight Ward as Ward is to fight GGG...

Matter fact, I don't think they're scared at all. But it doesn't make much sense to move up 8 lbs to fight a guy who (in my opinion) is the most dominant guy in the sport right now, even over Floyd. Why dabble in a division against a guy who's natural habitat is in? Especially when you can make millions upon millions in facing Floyd... and look at how highly regarded any fighter would be in taking Floyd's '0'. I think Floyd moving up to fight at 154, and GGG coming down in weight to 154 balances out fairly well. Especially if by some strange happening GGG becomes weight drained, you can always say Floyd had to move up.

If history tells us anything, moving up drastically in weight (especially if you're not a muscle bound fighter like Pascal who's weight is in the fibers) against one of the best fighters is not always a smart idea.
    ie; Pavlik - Hopkins

    PS:
I DO NOT much care for a fight against Floyd or Ward, especially at this stage in his career. But if we had to choose one or the other...

I mean, he hasn't even cleared out his own division yet, and we're asking him to challenge fighters in other weight classes (regardless of whether or not he's called out Mayweather)?

    • LMAO @ all these clowns wanting GGG vs Floyd but are deathly afraid for GGG to go see Mr. Ward. Ward does more for his legacy than Floyd does simply because of the size.

Certainly you don't believe GGG beating Floyd, which I think he would do at this stage, would be a bigger accomplishment then him defeating Ward, now do you?
Who knows, GGG's profile is growing so fast maybe an HBO SHO joint PPV is a possibility agin.

Not with the hardcore crew, but mainstream wise it's no contest. Floyd is a household name , nobody knows Ward outside of boxing.

          -sigh-

ok man.. Guess you'd have the money fight over the legacy bout. Got nothing else, fella. I do want to end this by saying I'm disappointed that an easier fight to make wouldn't be your choosing. Instead we're wishful thinking by hoping a Sho-HBO venture could come outta this.

I actually have never wanted the GGG/Floyd fight as it's an unfair fight. I just reply to the misguided who think Floyd would beat GGG, and "easily" at that. It's not a fair matchup - size discrepancy + power and skill ontop of it. GGG vs Ward should be made after GGG gets the MW crown.

I thought you'd understand being a Floyd fan?

I don't even know if the Ward fight is makable without going PPV, which is not viable yet. For sure Ward would want significantly more than for Rodriguez, and for once GGG would not take peanuts.

I do understand.. Although I also understand there's politics.. What I don't understand, however, is how anyone would not prefer a fight with both guys in their primes. Both guys anointed as the best in their division. Both guys on the same network and both guys making it a more compelling fight is not what a fan such as yourself would want.

                That's what I don't understand.

That's cause you're bad at reading, I clearly said I'd want to see the Ward fight. What I don't understand is all this crying when a 2x, unified, lineal, reigning champ is being asked to fight a guy at SWW. It's gotta be some shocking paper champ, or a feeble, scared fanbase

I'm a Floyd fan. I think GGG beats Floyd at this point. GGG is at his apex. Floyd isn't. Still a damn great fighter. Ward is at his peak. Both guys are presumed the best at their weight class. Both are on the same networks. Less politics to deal with. I want that fight. GGG defeating Ward would send his legacy through the roof. I wouldn't be that surprised by him knocking Mayweather off the undefeated ranks. I certainly don't think you would as well.

                      GGG, IMO, beats Floyd..
