No he'd get beat pretty badly, but don't say anyone from 154-168 can get it than say hey just kidding when someone wants to give it to you. Especially when you keep fighting sub-par opponents one after another. He's incredibly talented so far at this level, but he has to fight better guys to prove he's the truth, it happens with all prospects..even tho him and Ward fought in the same olympics, and Ward's solidified himself at 168 and as a P4P. Meanwhile GGG is fighting the Adamas of the world.
TL;DR GGG brought this on himself.
Far as I know (and I try to follow these things) neither party has ever called the other out - the pot's just been stirred by various journos and columnists suggesting the fight should be made.
I'm genuinely curious as to when either Loeffler or Sanchez said Ward was scared, and I know GGG sure as hell never said it (in fact he seemed genuinely impressed when meeting 'Dre - called him the best SMW in the world).
Sources?...references?

Anyways, whether Ward would beat GGG or not has little to do with the question I was asking which was when or where any of GGGs team said Ward was scared or ducking in any way - perhaps you could provide refrences since you appear interested?Last edited by Citizen Koba; 02-02-2014, 06:38 AM.

WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (27-0, 14KOs) is ready to face Gennady Golovkin (28-0, 25KOs), the WBA/IBO champion at 160-pounds, at any time. But makes it clear that Golovkin and his team are in no hurry to step in the ring with him. Golovkin returns to action this coming Saturday night in Monaco, against Osumanu Adama (22-3, 16KOs).
Ward takes issue with Golovkin's promoted reputation of "willing to fight anyone" - when his team is not willing to match them any time soon. Additionally, Ward is confused by recent quote where Golovkin's promoter claimed their fighter was the bigger star.
"I don't really know how to feel about that fight. From a business standpoint of course [we can do it]. If he continues to win, and if I continue to win - a year from now it's a bigger fight. I have no problem with that, but what I do have a problem with is when you build your reputation as being this fearless guy from 160 to 175 - but then backtrack and say 'oh it's about the business and we're going to wait.' I just don't understand that, it doesn't add up. And his promoter saying that he's a bigger star...I'm just scratching my head about that stuff. It is what it is. I'm not chasing anybody. I think I've earned the right to fight the biggest and the best fights and that's what we're in the process of doing," Ward told BoxingScene.com.
