Most of the world thought that the fight was at the very least threatening to some degree.

Again I really don't understand what you're trying to say here it's like you're just thinking of something and saying it for the sake of it.

I was impressed with the Canelo win, not so much with the Cotto win.

I was impressed by Golovkin's win over Macklin, not so much with Stevens or Adama.

What's the point and where's the connection you're trying to make?
Ur a bias and a easily impressed Floyd fan
I bet everyday u wish u can personally put bandage when Floyd gets a bobo

Yet I've said multiple times I wasn't impressed with the Cotto win.

I'm sorry I'm not impressed by wins over Stevens and Adama but am impressed with a win over Canelo.

No way in hell is he more accomplished than Cotto.

Martinez is incredibly overrated imo. It is funny he has looked bad in almost all of his fights except for the Paul Williams 2nd fight yet he didn't get nearly as much criticism as Golovkin does when he beats on someone and KOs them but gets hit a couple times.

edit: this post was terribly worded lmao. I can barely understand it my bad.

Trust me if Stevens or Adama had the hyping management of Gbp they would be undefeated just like canelo lol

Martinez is the lineal middleweight champion with 6 defenses. Nothing overrated about that. He also should have a KO win over Cintron at 154. His only losses to Margarito (baby Martinez) and Williams (close and avenged). Martinez does not look bad in his fights, Murray being the exception. Tell me, when has Cotto ever been lineal champion in any division? When has Cotto beaten fighters with 10-20 pounds on him? Or who were top 5 P4P? Martinez is ranked pretty fairly in my opinion. A probably hall of famer who has been one of the top fighters in the world for a few years.

Yeah he gets hit but what fighter doesn't? Hell he dominated and embarrassed Chavez Jr. other than the last half of the 12th round but one Knockdown doesn't erase the his dominance over 11 rounds. He's fought legit middleweight and always comes out on top as the Lineal Middleweight champ. That in itself is more than what Cotto has accomplished in his career.

Adama wasn't even a top 20 MW. Golovkin is ranked #1. Of course expectations would be high.
According to what? I thought Ring only ranks the top 10 and BoxRec has Adama ranked at #12.

Let's listen to the opinion of someone who's been in the ring with both Golovkin and Ward :

Boxrec rankings is a points system that really doesn't reflect who the best are at a weight class. For example, look at their P4P list.

                      Wlad #3
                      Alvarez #6
                      Froch #8
                      Hopkins #9
Golovkin in front of Pacquiao #12 and #13 respectively
Pulev #14, what has he done?
                      Matthysse #16
                      Rigondeaux inexplicably at #19
                      Lara #20
Donaire is not in my top 10, but #23 is overkill, he's at least top 15
