If someone doesn't rate the MW division then practically every division is garbage. The MW division has been stacked with B+ fighters. I'm sure whoever doesn't rate it also nuthugs lower weight classes, which are mostly thin and some are straight garbage.
Golovkin vs Adama - Master Thread

2013: Rosado (meh), Ishida (lame), Macklin (good), Stevens (decent)
Since his profile has risen, I think the caliber of opposition will follow suit. Adama was a respectable start to the year, and since 3G didn't look spectacular, I'm sure potential opponents will be more confident in their chances. I think it's a possibility that he faces Geale and Murray this year, but maybe Murray will wind up fighting Quillin instead. Geale is supposed to have a rematch for the IBF belt at some point, does he fight Sturm before or after he steps to 3G?
Ideally, Sturm/Geale and Quillin/Murray happen next. Geale and Murray win their match-ups and 3G fights them consecutively.Comment

I guess you're easily impressed when it comes to Golovkin.
Macklin was impressive. A top MW and won every second of every round until the one shot KO.
That's atleast what I expect when he fights this calibur of opposition like Stevens and Adama but that wasn't the case in either fight.Comment

It is a shame for Golovkin that no one will fight him.2013: Rosado (meh), Ishida (lame), Macklin (good), Stevens (decent)

Yeah he fights bums (mostly) but he can't help it.
I think he'll get more fights soon though. Hopefully starting with Geale like you said.Comment

fans are hyping this proformance.....they are calling adama a slick and cagey boxer....and he is far from.the guy was a mover
no one looks good againts a mover
whats funny in this thread is not the fans calling it a good win for ggg
whats funny is the haters saying ggg is getting annihilated vs martinez because of this fight.
by the way
floyd proven? not in my book sorry
not until he beats pac and stop fighting c level fighters to look good
and for you to say that floyd hasn't proven himself then you are an idiot.....
"the p4p #1 fighter in the sport hasn't proven himself yet!!!!"

The same principles apply to every division. Froch wouldn't rematch Groves if he didn't have to, Ward is looking to get a ppv against Chavez, Stieglitz is gonna complete his epic trilogy against Abraham and will probably keep his belt hostage again if he wins.I'm not sure what hbo can do. But they have to do something. And I totally disagree about 168. Totally different division and atmosphere from 160. Not even comparable. The best fighters fight each other at 168. Only one who has a hard time securing a fight is ward. Golovkin will not.Comment

lol these comments are hilarious....
Golovkin is at a point now where if he doesn't slip or block EVERY single punch thrown at him he's a bum with no defense and head movement.Comment
