Pretty much, the bar is set pretty high for Golovkin. He didn't lose a round tonight (imo) and won by stoppage, it's not enough any more.

Considering Adama's been in with some elite guys, including Geale and others, yeah he deserves some credit for that.

Yeah. So when he's fighting these bums, in front of a 900 crowd, when he's being hyped up to death. That's why is said "steps up" because he's fighting nobody's and he's hyped up as the next big thing, so when he does step up, he's getting floored.

              This^^^^^^^^^^

He's trying to fight dudes who have strong political backings....as long as the fans keep giving him passes due to the politics, I'm quite sure his team wouldn't mind racking up stoppage after stoppage against over matched hittable dudes....more politics and bigger smoke machines

                Come on, people.
well when u have commentators saying things like "golovkin is one of the top guys in the sport. up there with the floyd mayweathers and andre wards.", u will get comments like that. the guy is clearly not a bum. but he is also yet to have proven his worth. how good is he? i dont hold this performance against him in the sense that he must be tired of fighting these d level fighters.

if ggg beat ward(which he wouldn't because he's not even close to being good enough) i'd give him full credit. fact is, ggg is a hypejob and all he has is power. ggg stans are freaking delusional, ya'll giving him credit because he ko'ed a tomato(not to mention looking like crap doing it)??? lmao. ggg gets zero credit for this sparring seesion.

I had my stream on mute. Didn't hear any of that, but I know people say it. Teddy Atlas said it on Friday Night Fights.

Honestly, I get why people resent that talk, because Golovkin hasn't earned anything close to it, but people go too far in overreaction.

You can see Martinez and Ward fans get very hostile due to their insecurities. They know Ward nor Martinez would come close to beating Golovkin, they would go into survival mode waiting to A) get knocked out or B) for the last bell to ring.
