Of course I know that and this is exactly what Im saying, but please, the promoters and Canelo should avoid the statements like the ones in this article and pretend we are going to believe it. The truth is they are protecting Canelo with this angulo fight, forget about Lara style because even they have Kirkland. The worst are the fans who defend those lies as a truth

Alvarez by KO. 8. Maybe sooner. Horrible style clash for Angulo.

That's a solid three fight stretch for a so called protected fighter. It seems to me that Canelo isn't afraid to take any challenge and he won't let his promoter hold him back anymore. I'm sure if he beats Angulo, Cotto/Martinez winner or Lara will be next (hopefully Lara).
39 other fights you choose to ignore... that being said glad he is stepping it up.

I'm not a fan of Canelo or his ways BUT this is a very solid fight and I agree with him in this case. Nobody wants to see boring Lara run around like a coward for 12 rounds. Those type of fighters should not be given TV time, let alone PPV spots. Angulo is an excellent choice, it will be a very tough fight that will test Canelo in all aspects imaginable.

later for that fireworks nonsense..they selected Angulo to serve as a measuring stick to vet if he has enough to face Lara...hope he is able to pull off this victory.

This is a great fight. A young talent vs a beast. Angulo is no joke. Alvarez better catch him coming in. El Perro is going to be all over him.the constant pressure may take over. Can't wait for this one.

The Ginger kid is right. Did you see the Lara/Trout fight? I don't know what happened to that Lara guy. He was sensational in the Williams fight. His later fights were spent on running all night.

How about Charlo vs Lara next?
