The IBF are right sticking to the 85-15 split IMO.
George Groves not happy with 15%; will lobby IBF for more

I think groves is getting stiffed alittle bit,,,,
This rematch will be huge, and i think 75/25 or 80/20 would be more fair IMO
15% is horrible for a big time rematchComment

He was offered 25%. He rejected it. He lobbied the IBF to become mandatory again and was successful. Under the rules, the mandatory is only entitled to 15%.Comment

ok, thanks,, then groves is a complete idiot,, I would have taken the 25%,,, that is about as high as he could have possibly gotten from froch's team..
Whoever is running the numbers for groves needs to be fired,,, how did they not know the IBF rules concerning purse splits,,,Comment

Matchroom/Eddie Hearn wanted options on a couple of his future fights so that was part of the 25% deal. Pretty standard fare for a promoter to ask for options on a fighter who's not the mandatory.ok, thanks,, then groves is a complete idiot,, I would have taken the 25%,,, that is about as high as he could have possibly gotten from froch's team..

The 15% comes with no options since the IBF re-instated him as mandatory so he's free to sign with whoever he wants afterwards.
Personally I would have taken the 25%. It's not like signing with Matchroom for a couple of fights would have been a bad thing for him.Comment

Then again if he beats Froch.... He will earn a much bigger payday for his next fight.Matchroom/Eddie Hearn wanted options on a couple of his future fights so that was part of the 25% deal. Pretty standard fare for a promoter to ask for options on a fighter who's not the mandatory.
