no need to beat a dead horse, Marquez just wants to be a paper champ, not fight anyone in particular.

Marquez would fight Ruslan Provodnicov in a heart beat if he had the WW belt....that I have no doubt about it. But can't blame Provo for trying to add such a great name to his resume, even at this stage of his career with JMM almost calling it quits and ready to ride on the sunset.

JMM is a great fighter but not a first time ballot HOF. His resume isn't great. Pac made him the person he is today. I was once a huge fan of JMM. I followed him and his brother their entire career. As a boxer & fan of the sport I enjoyed watching JMM. I lost respect for him when he said he's been robbed 6x in his career. Great champs accept defeat the same way they take their victories. He begged PAC for rematch after rematch and got them. PAC asks for a rematch and he's not man enough to grant him one. He could have made$15 mil guaranteed, win or lose. And still have the vicious KO to his name.

It's a brutal sport and I give credit to all of those who step into the ring. And I also understand the business part of the sport. But we can't forget the great champs and legends that paved the way. Back in the days guys like Leonard, hearns, hagler, Duran fought each other for pride. They gave us great fights and never ducked each other.

The great Muhamad Ail once said that "great champions are not known for going undefeated but for coming back from defeat"

He loses to bradley and then complains he wants a rematch. Top rank already offered him a fight with pac which he turned down.

Does he really think top rank would give him the bradley rematch when they have pac-bradley ii available to them? After this fu**in' guy turned down $10 million to fight pac? They will say, and did say "fu** this guy" and make pac-bradley ii. They will offer him provodnikov which he already said he has zero interest in. Marquez comes off like an ungrateful, arrogant prick.

If top rank was smart they would do provodnikov-rios on april 4th, to help hype the pac-bradley rematch on the 12th. They need something to help out the buys for that fight because even though that's the only fight they really have to make for pac right now bradley is still a tough sell. He's boring as sh** and can't punch.

its kool if you dont like marquez, pacquiao is a very likable guy and i like pacquiao as a human being not his biggest fan but posters like you make it hard for pacquiao

Not sure why Marquez wouldn't fight ruslan the Russian is a good fighter but I gotta say Marquez ain't afraid of nobody!! I mean he called out the very best in the world in mayweather jr. And got schooled but I have to say that a fighter like provodkinov is easy work for Marquez don't get it twisted he won't be easy but this guy is tailor made for Juan an aggressive fighter who comes straight ahead...he'll counter him all night long to a U.D.

i could see this fight happening but honestly i dont think it will. I think rios provo end up fighting notice how rios is calling everyone out except provo? that fight would be insane and end early

Marquez has said many times that he wants to get the 5th division title before he retires and thats really what motivates him. (He said it on Golpe a Golpe i think)

I would like to see Marquez vs Provodnikov but if Nacho doesn't like the fight it won't happen. Maybe Marquez fights Rios or he fights a bunch of tune ups in Mexico City.

He was offered like 12m last year and they may have upped it to 15 recently. Thats like 2.5x his career high

And Marquez vs Provo is not even PPV material. Marquez is not an A side PPV attraction, he needs a really well known opponent to draw well.
