            Allow me to dumb it down for you.

            The award is NOT usually given on "attention over accomplishments"

            Manny, Floyd (and perhaps Hatton) are the only recent fighters that have based on "attention". So, quite simply, your post was wrong.

            Maybe you should take a look at the past winners and what they did those years before you post? just an idea. Or clarify what your post really means.

                      Rigo had a good year but he's hated by 99% of the boxing community....it's very unlikely to get the win. Bradley....no not even close. A debated close win over espns Provo and a clear close win over grandpa Marquez does not make him fighter of the year.....at all.
