Jennings is OK, but he has sloppy footwork and a somewhat leaky defense. These things can be improved, why the rush?

So you're saying he beats Stiverne? I don't know about that because he hasn't faced anyone as good as Bermaine from which to gauge.
I'm not even sure he beats Arreola.

Ha, funnily enough this guy lost to Szpilka by KO in 4 back in 2012...I don't think Fury should get back in with competition like this, it isn't like Chisora's case where his career is in the balance coming off losses and he needs these easy opponents...
he just had a year off. he will steamroll basile & he fights again in early april then apparently rematching chisora in june. i'm assuming it will be another journeyman after basile then he will step up. he is just taking a couple easier bouts to get back momentum going into the june fight...

He might be ready, but he needs a big name win to really push for a title shot,,

beating adamek, fury, chisora, wilder, or someone like that would greatly enhance his chances for a title shot

I'm not sure of the WBC rules, but if the winner of Arreola-Stiverne gets a voluntary after, I think it unlikely to be Jennings.

            This, pretty much.
Who exactly did Arreola and Stiverne beat to get their shots? How is Jennings any different?

So few of these "top level" heavyweights fight each other just about anyone can claim a title shot.

yeah pretty much,,, these guys dont fight each other, so until they do, its all guesswork

                pulev
                fury
                jennings
                stiverne
                arreola
                adamek
                perez
                wilder
                chisora

no one really stands out as a legit #1 contender to wlad,

pulev and fury are the closest IMO as well as the stiverne/areola winner
but even then, their resumes dont scream legit #1 contender

It seems to logical but HBO could very well make a feeler for Jennings/Perez since both have been on their airwaves that could definetly make his case towards a possible title shot.

I'd pick Jennings to beat Perez

Stiverne beat Arreola who would massacre spilka

As for areolla well I agree with you there but he always gets a wbc shot, he's like the new, wbc version of John ruiz

I wanna see Jennings fight another 2 times before running in to get a title shot. He's a solid quality fighter no doubt, but he's not at that 'elite' level just yet. His team should invest in him, build him up and let him develop a little more, before cashing out with a title shot.
