I think he should be.

How exactly was it a gift decision? He gave Matthysse a beating. And if Matthysse himself didn't make low blow excuses, I don't know why anyone else feels the need to.
To answer TS's question: of course he is. I don't think it's even up for debate.Comment

Yeah he's clearly the best guy in his division and along with Ward, Stevenson and Wlad holds that rare distinction. Some ppl are indifferent to this mythical list, but for those who do care i wanted to ask if you guys think Danny "Swift" Garcia is a p4p top 10 fighter. Now i personally dont compile one, but based on Ring's top 10 i certainly believe he can atleast take Canelo's spot at #9? Even his learning fights were against some solid fighters.
So my question is: Is Danny Garcia "currently" a p4p Top 10 fighter?
Garcia has beaten the number one guy in his division (Khan) and the most feared guy (Matthysse) and done so very well both times, fights in which he was a big underdog.
Something else which people fail to understand about the p4p list, can the guy being mentioned beat other top fighters in the sport irregardless of weight? I think Garcia beats everyone at 140 and has a good run at 147 against guys like Broner/Madiana/Khan/Alexander/Porter/Brook, posisbly beats them all. P4P, he can beat a large chunk of talent higher than 147 too.
Garcia is most definitely a top 10 p4p guy.Comment

I don't mean to go off topic, but some posters in this thread are apparently confusing "pound for pound" with "fighters I like".
Seriously, how in the world is Lara, Canelo, Stevenson or Provo P4P?Comment

lol Ring have Canelo on their list. PFP has multiple definitions, it means different things to different people, that's part of the problem.Comment
