Why is it some fighters get hyped up on here before they do anything?

Neither one of them really get any hype. Wilder gets crapped on cause honestly he hasn't fought ANYBODY but keeps knocking out daytime plumbers, which has nobody fooled. With Gary Russell, people see the talent but everyone knows he has fought next to no one. I mean step it up already. And usually i'm real patient with fighters like with the whole situation with Ward not wanting to move up. But this Gary Russell thing is getting ridiculous. I mean how many TBAs is this guy gonna fight!?

When I mentioned Garcia, it wasn't to say that he has the same exact KO percentage or higher. It was just to point out that he also has a good punch too and has knocked down his last three opponents. And has beaten fighters many thought he would lose to. But he isn't hyped even in the slightest here. It's crickets.

          SO....that means you can't make a real argument without being a d*ck?
Nope, that means I don't take threads created by a certified racist seriously.

"Knocked down" is not the same as consistently knocking opponents spark out inside 3-4 rounds.

Keith Thurman is the only real top level US ****er I can think of, he gets quite a bit of praise and hype considering he hasn't fought a genuine top WW yet. He'd get even more if he was more active fighting 3-4 times a year instead of just twice.

Wilder gets some attention too but not many on here are fooled by the can-crushing.

Lucas was the funniest hype on these forums though. So many classic posts and threads before the Garcia fight.

Some of these fighters were very impressive amateurs. Plus these foreign fighter are being scouted to bring new talent to the U.S .

Wasn't Hopkins first belt a vacant title? Specially after losing and beating guys with double digit losses.
