Well he's the A side so obviously he's going to say that just like every other one before him.

Plus, he's the (main) reason the fights are doing the numbers the do, whether it's 800k-1 Million with Guererro or 2.2 with Canelo, without Mayweather the numbers aren't coming close to those figures so obviously he's going to say that.

I wonder if the hold up is the British PPV money. When he fought Hatten he made most of the money off both the US and British PPV.
Traditionally Khan has been able to keep all the British PPV money for himself. The only fight he was willing to give that up was for Bradley and that fight never happened.
I bet he would for a Floyd payday but not without negotiation.

I doubt this fight reaches 750,000 buys like the Guerrero fight did.

Floyd did 870K allegedly with Guerrero who lets face it, is a b
nobody at the box office, he did over a million wit JMM whos numbers by himself dont come close,

Theres only one man in Boxing that can sell a ppv all by himself and thats Mike Tyson.

Floyd dont do to bad when the B side is weak

To quote Huey Freeman, "Do you understand how much n!ggas love Money Mayweather?"

Only reason Khan made those concessions for the Bradley fight was because he was trying to make it look legit like he actually wanted to fight him. It was boxingscene worst kept secret at the time that Bradley was waiting for his contract to expire to sign with top rank so he wasn't taking any fights. Besides Bradley had been calling him out for about 2 years. The real holdup is getting a good enough undercard to make the numbers look good without having to dig too deep into Floyd & Amir's pockets.

Be a tough sell if the rumours of what khan has been upto are true!

And it seems now the reason for delaying the announcement of mayweather vs. (nobody cares).. is that they are trying to find the best way to stack the undercards so that it can even be called a PPV event... Right now... Khan hasn't beat ANYONE to deserve Mayweather, not even one of mayweather's last opponents can this guy even compete with... and Maidana... just because he beat broner doesn't mean he be a challenge against Mayweather... cinco de mayo is a Mexican celebration and when real Mexicans fight they come to fight... they don't come to box around the ring.. save that **** for the Olympics or amatures... that's why this mayweather fight isn't going to do any good numbers.. because ya, Mexicans are the #1 fans of boxing
Mexicans are the #1 fight fans, and Floyd capitalizes on that! But just fighting a Mexican doesn't mean sales (Pac-Rios). Mexican fans have to believe that the fight is competitive (Floyd-Canelo). I agree with Jeff, Floyd-Khan is a tough sell because no one gives Khan a chance. Unfortunately for Floyd, the only welterweights that any one (even Mexicans) believe has a chance against Floyd are now about to fight a rematch for TR (Pac-Bradley 2). The only options for a big PPV event for Floyd would be Floyd-Cotto 2 @ 154 or Floyd-Marquez 2 (if Marquez is a free agent, which I don't believe he is). What I really want to see is Floyd-Lara. I believe Lara would be a VERY FORMIDABLE FOE. Would it be a big sell? I doubt it.
