Yes, watched it live,,, on the undercard of the classic bowe-fergeuson fight from DC,,,

Shelling up, and not letting your hands go, and being scared of the counter, does not mean you did good,,, cong**** you went 12 rounds with prime roy and lost 9-3,,, Hopkins would see hearns' jab and power and do the same thing,, he wouldnt get blown out of the water, put lose on points,, Hearns probably wouldnt look good either just like roy, but that doesnt mean hopkins would beat him,,,
Have you seen prime Hopkins??he was a damn good puncher and a very aggressive fighter...and people exaggerate the Roy fight Hopkins was very much in that fight but he did clearly lose but did not get domiated at all

Hagler vs B Hop would be a mismatch.hagler by KO.

Herans has too much jab and pop and embarrasses Hopkins.

Mugabi KTFO's Hagler. He was no blown-up WW but a true monster MW.

I like Hopkins a lot. He was a great MW champ during a bad MW time. RJJ moved up. Calzaghe was at 168. Oscar and Tito were WW.

What fighter did he beat that even compares to hearns,,, he may have been a good puncher vs mercado, allen, joe lipsey,,, but lets not act like he was some destroyer,,
Tito is tailor made for anyone elite level boxer

When was hopkins in the roy fight,, was it after 8 shutout rounds, and roy running around in the 9th to stop and pop a jab on hopkins,, that was about the only highlight of the fight,,,

Nothing on hopkins' resume suggests he could outbox hearns for 12 rounds,,

Name the guy that outboxed hearns????????

The 80's were a great time at MW,much like now is getting. I think Mccalum and Norris would good chances vs Hopkins too.

The Beast has all the wrong style for Hopkins who has always had problems with punchers who come at him. Sans Pavlik (who was hammered 2 days before the fight and out of shape) Hopkins doesn't throw enogh to keep the plodders away from him. Taylor's style was all wrong for Hopkins. Mcalum and Norris had that style and Mugabi was appropriately named the beast because of it. His MW reign was impressive but it was a bad MW era.Think Larry Holmes at HW era.I think what B Hop has done at LHW has made him legend more that even his MW reign over mediocre fighters at MW.
