I won't begrudge him a return, but if he's not the force he was I don't want to see him continue.their are some winnable fights against top opposition out there for him,Stieglitz,Groves,Abraham,Chavez and Bika etc would any of those guys want to face him though ? I don't believe so.
Losing to Froch in a close decision proves he's on the slide? When has Froch become some kind of a stepping-stone?

People forget that it was a close close fight, though with Froch the deserved winner - especially as he was dominant in the first 3 rounds.

But you're right in saying there are some winnable fights out there for him, and he's still a top 3-5 SMW in my book. He also looked good against Magee in his last fight before Froch.

I would love for him to take another fight at Parken. I would enjoy meeting him at the bar after the fight as per usual.

      Absolutely agree with this post.

Sounds like like an excuse to me. Ward didn't need an excuse when he broke his hand and went on to whoop Froch, he went in there and did what was expected of him to do. Some guys were born to box, others aren't.

Cong**** to Mikkel on becoming a father for the first time, probably explains why there has been not much news from his camp.

Kessler should try going out in style against the Stieglitz-Abraham winner in Denmark.

Losing to Froch does not in itself prove that he is on the slide, but the decrease in punch-output does.

You obviously know very little about Mikkel or what he does after each fight at Parken.

I don't think so necessarily. They were very comparable to his stats vs Calzaghe when he was in his absolute prime. They were also comparable to his fight vs Froch the first time.

I think it was a case of peaking too soon as he said himself. It happens from time to time. Not saying he is in his prime, but I still think he could cut it at the highest level and be a match for anyone at 168.

I do. I likes to go to his local pub for a beer. I've met him there. You haven't.

Trust me. This is a route you don't want to go down.

I believe his output dropped with about 40-50% from the first Froch fight to the second.
