He stated he would face Groves but he wants to make a big money fight before that. I'm sure he's fully aware at how much of a threat Groves is so he wants to make a big money fight before he rematches Groves as he probably gets beat.

Froch doesn't have to justify anything to anyone, he has one of the best resumes in boxing.

Duck! Hoping this is just a negotiation tactic, coz the rumblings from Matchroom and now Froch are that Groves is asking for too much money. No way it makes sense for Froch to wait until June/July (assuming Chavez Jr beats Vera) and then fight the rematch after... Unless he really is scared Groves beats him second time round. I wouldn't even stay up to watch Froch-Chavez Jr on Sky Sports for free, let alone pay for it, cant see the PPV being a big draw in the States unless they stacked the card either.

I can tell you that no casual fans in the UK know who Chavez Jr is... I dont think there will be massive interest in Froch-Chvez Jr outside real boxing fans. Can only speak for me and the people I know tho obviously... I'd be shocked if it was on Sky PPV in UK.

Also, Khan fought a past his prime Barrera. Hatton fought a past his prime Castillo. Froch-Chavez Jr wouldn't be much better or bigger than them imo.
