  • Comments Thread For: Carl Froch: Chavez Jr. in Vegas is Next, Groves Can Wait!

Carl Froch has not ruled out a rematch with George Groves but says his next fight will likely be against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

WBA and IBF super-middleweight champion Froch retained his belts by stopping Groves in the ninth round of their British superfight on November 23.

The controversial nature of Froch's victory, in which he was floored in the first round and behind on the scorecards when referee Howard Foster stepped in for what many believe to be a premature stoppage, has prompted calls for him to give Groves another shot at the titles.

This is gonna be a one easy fat payday for Frochy. Hes at the point where he can care less about resume and milk the cow for as much as he can. Even if he doesnt fight Groves given the competition at 168 and 175 his alternatives are more challenging than Groves, so you cant even call him a duck if he fights Ward/Steiglitz instead of Groves or any champion at 175. Though out of principal he should fight Groves.

Froch says pay per view in the interview. And JMM is always on PPV. It usually isn't this bad when JMM/Pacquiao/Mayweather/Cotto are fighting each isntead of having separate PPVs for each fighter.
