Granite chin of course, because skill, technique, boxing IQ and so on can all be learnt and improved upon, whereas a weak chin just can't.

One can have a granite chin without being a devastating one-punch KO artist. Carl Froch did pretty well for himself.

One can also have one-punch KO power without having a glass chin.

      Klitschko has done pretty well.

I don't know which option I'd take. Probably a granite chin-

um similarly all those things can be improved but punching power can't so your argument is invalid

No it's not, having a physical frailty like a fragile chin or hands etc can be detrimental to your career and no matter by how much you're winning, you can still be stopped at any moment, even by guys who hit at average power.

Having a granite chin, allows you to fall back on your natural ability to take a shot and keep coming, allowing you to concentrate on other things in the ring.

Look how Lewis and Wlad had to change their styles to suit their very fragile chins, they both became boring robots, too afraid to use their extensive power. Khan now, seems to be concentrating so much on protecting his chin, he has lost the edge which made him so god in years gone by, he looked terrible against Diaz and looked laboured against Molina, who is/was a lightweight.

So yeah, I'd rather be an extremely skilled fighter, quick, smart, with feather fists and a great chin than a huge hitting guy who gets stopped all the time if he's not too careful.

Heck I haven't even used examples of guys like Hearns or Tyson who could hit as hard as any boxer in history but also had troublesome punch resistance, not fragile chins but pretty close. If I'm not mistaken, every fight Tyson lost was via stoppage.

              Power.

I don't need a strong chin because I don't want to use it.

                One punch KO power

I'm not saying fall in love with the power. Some people you can hit with a brick and they won't be knocked out. But itd be better to build around power then a chin.

1 punch Ko power will make your chin better

I bieleve punch resistance stems from self confidence/belief

A fighter with 1 punch ko power is obviously going to have tremendous self belief

you take the chin every time.

most of the great fighters had good - great chins.

I can definitely see the reason for saying chin, but looking at it this way genuine one punch KO power draws crowds and puts money in the bank and if you can deliver it with adequate skill you will be able to reach a good level and make some good money, especially the higher you go up the scales.
