Every single fight tonight was a beating. That was insane. The losers of the fights were some tough mofos.
Arakawa is not human. Plain and simple.Comment

Angulo looked like crap at the weigh-in, and he didn't look much better in the ring. On the other hand, Canelo rehydrated successfully and gave Angulo the biggest beating of his career. I can't comprehend how he's able to absorb all that punishment.Comment

Seriously man, you have to actually watch some Angulo fights before commenting on them. He doesn't fight like that and never has. He has never put everything behind all his shots. He's never once fought like that. He's actually largely an arm puncher, that will then throw one or two hard shots when he gets the shot front of him.
I felt this way during the Pacquaio vs. Rios fight. I was shocked by the performance of Rios. He did nothing and just ate punches. This fight is way worse cause Canelo was bashing his head like a heavy bag with crazy power. You could hear the shots.Comment

He still took a brutal brutal beating from a heavy handed fighter.
This fight was over.
As Angulo walked to the corner Paulie said they need to look at Angulo.
When he got to the corner Virgil told him one more.
When the round started I saw the fear in Weeks eyes he was itching to stop it. He felt bad I could see it. He shouldve stopped it earlier.
Great stoppage. Angulo might not fight again after this. He got hammered. Badly.Comment

It was strange especially when you watch just the replay of it. He literally takes a telegraphed uppercut and the ref calls it off. It was a big shot, but he wasn't out on his feet.
I actually wouldn't have wanted to see Angulo continue and keep taking punishment, the timing of the stoppage was just awkward. Should've just let him finish the round and then stop it.
I'm not annoyed at the stoppage, Angulo needed to be stopped.
But just off a single punch that didn't even hurt him? Let him see out the rest of the round.
Even if Canelo landed a 3 punch combination and he stopped him that I'd understand.
Who even really cares because I'm sure everyone agrees that if Angulo managed to see out the rest of the round he'd have been pulled out any way.Comment
