A part of all of us as boxing fans should push for Canelo and Broner to do well

What other viable major PPV stars does boxing have in the pipeline? The sport has a lot of talent in the ring but few who lack the charisma/personality outside of the ring to be major stars.

More stars in the sport of boxing means more opportunities for the sport to thrive which is good for us as fans.

Or it could lead them to just putting more and more fights on PPV when it shouldn't.

If Canelo and Broner are the future of the sport, then boxing is screwed.

We need guys like GGG, Kovalev, Thurman, Porter, and Danny to take over.

I could care less about having more PPV stars so I ca dish out more money.

Network stars is where it is at. Sponsor money greater then all if you are popular enough.

Its true, both Canelo and Broner are just fairly starting out. The thing is with Canelo while having so many fights he is still green. They should take their time with him and not push the PPV #s.
With Adrian, he is finally fighting at a weight where the dudes are the "same size", and then he folded. This learning experience will either break or make him- we will see soon.

Both are young kids, and I do hope they succeed.

I understand this way of thinking but to blindly be fans isn't necessarily for the best. After all, isn't that what the promoters had the majority of people doing anyway? Especially with Canelo...

Both these guys are young enough to come back and make impressions on the scene after periods of rebuilding, then and only then should the masses get behind them in my opinion. Like i said, 'having' to be a fan of them is what promoters force upon us all anyway then once they have lost a fight the hype has cooled down (Canelo) and/or people say "told you so" (Broner).

I believe both can come back and be successful in the future, and the fan in me appreciates your point and wishes them well but I don't think any unwarranted hype needs to be applied to these guys anymore. If Broner changes his game and image up then by all means, but there is time to see if that is the case yet, so for now we should wait and see in my opinion.

So you want more PPVs? Yea, your a real boxing genuis. Only people that benefit from ppv are the people that make money from it- not the fans. would you rather see the December showtime cards with over 1 mil viewers or have pacquiao rios with half that. A part of preserving ppv stars is having such mismatches. But you don't kno **** about boxing. / end thread.
