Ukraine opposition sets 24-hour deadline to ease crisis
The talks, the first concrete move towards negotiating an end to two months of unrest, ended after about three hours. Opposition leader Arseniy Yatsenyuk said he gave the president until the following evening either to move to ease the political crisis or face popular rage.

"Tomorrow we will go forward together," Yatsenyuk told a crowd of tens of thousands of demonstrators. "And if it's a bullet in the forehead, then it's a bullet in the forehead, but in an honest, fair and brave way."

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway and Dan Gilbert's Quicken Loans are partnering to award anyone who fills out a perfect 2014 Men's NCAA Tournament bracket with $1 billion.

The prize will be paid out in 40 annual installments of $25 million. If there's more than one winner they'll have to share. The winner or winners can also take or split up an immediate $500 million lump sum payment.

"It is our mission to create amazing experiences for our clients. This contest, with the possibility of creating a billionaire, definitely fits that bill," Jay Farner, President and Chief Marketing Officer of Quicken Loans said in a statement. He added: "We've seen a lot of contests offering a million dollars for putting together a good bracket, which got us thinking, what is the perfect bracket worth? We decided a billion dollars seems right for such an impressive feat."

In addition to the grand prize, Quicken will award $100,000 each to the contest's 20 most accurate 'imperfect' brackets submitted by qualified entrants in the contest to use toward buying, refinancing or remodeling a home. Quicken will also donate $1 million to inner-city Detroit and Cleveland non-profit organizations. Quicken is based in Detroit, but Gilbert owns the Cleveland Cavaliers and the city's Horseshoe Casino.

The odds are not ideal — a 1 in 9.2 quintillion chance.

But it costs nothing to fill out so you should probably do it. The contest starts March 3rd. "March Madness" kicks off March 18.

The source of riot violence is quite tricky there...

In the days of the protests in Kiev, the most radical activists on Independence Square created the Right Sector movement, which took an active part in the clashes with police on 19 January.

They usually wear masks, helmets and protection for their hands and feet, and carry sticks or iron bars in case of confrontation with riot police.

According to some members of the Right Sector, the movement incorporates several far-right groups including Patriot of Ukraine, Trident and others.

However, one of the Right Sector activists, known as Neil Khasevych, told the BBC that none of those groups were formally affiliated with the movement.

He said the Right Sector was an autonomous organisation with no leaders or formal membership.

Their actions are mostly spontaneous, but the activists were preparing to take part in violent actions from the beginning of the protests, he said.

The backbone of the organisation in Kiev is formed by Russian-speaking football fans sharing nationalist views.

To communicate with its supporters, the Right Sector uses the website of the nationalist organisation Trident, and pages on Facebook and the social network Vkontakte.

Most of its activists have a negative attitude towards Russia's government and are against Ukraine joining the Customs Union.

But unlike other protesters in Independence Square, most of the Right Sector activists do not support the idea of joining the EU, which they consider to be an "oppressor of European nations".

The organisation believes the current situation is an opportunity "to destroy the state skeleton" and start building a new state.

The Right Sector does not associate itself with the parliamentary opposition parties, including the nationalist Svoboda, which it considers to be too liberal and conformist.

All three opposition leaders, including former world boxing champion Vitali Klitschko, have criticised the Right Sector's attack on the police lines and dubbed the radical activists provocateurs.

Presidential election is in 2015, Vitali (on latest polls) would win the election if it was held now, he is the highest polling candidate - more than current president - and is generally the most popular and currently well respected of the 'opposition' leaders.

Protests originally about the president refusing to sign an association agreement with the EU which would have improved things like trade etc, people don't want closer ties with Russia so Ukraine can be truly independent and not bullied. Problem is, the Ukrainian president is basically Putin's b1tch and is a moron crook with his own corrupt police force and backing from oligarchs (richest millionaire/billionaire businessman, many who acquired the money through corrupt means).

Further on, the people demand the government resigns but the constant stand-off has continued since November 2013 and now people are just losing patience...violence is beginning and now people have been killed.
