I think Lara is better; but nobody will whitewash him at 154 it will be tough if he wins or loses.

As others have said, it's definitely between him and Lara. A rematch is certainly in order, and although it promises to be another snoozer, it needs to happen to get it out of the way and establish the best fighter at 154.

I'd favor Canelo over he and Lara.

In my opinion I think you can definitely say Carlos Molina is ranked high in the pound for pound best list of putting fans to sleep, clinching, and just plain out having a ****y style. In other words having a ****y, boring, style that consists of excessive clinching doesn't translate into being great defensively and it definitely does not mean you're the best at anything in any division.

He works with what he's got, and gets the most out of it. There's way more talented guys resorting to that style, though they will show other dimensions

You're right he works with what he has and it is what it is, but it's a different story when some try to make it sound as though he's the best or like he's a top notch skilled fighter when he's clearly not. He resorts to the tactics he uses because he needs to not because they are the best and that's my point.

Either him or Lara should be considered number one at the weight right now. I don't see how anyone else belongs above them.

He arguably is. I think he beat Lara, Chavez, and was dominating Kirkland until he got screwed. He should have been rated higher than Cotto or Canelo when Floyd fought them.

It's between Lara and Molina but I would favor Lara at the moment. They fought almost three years ago. I think a rematch is necessary to decide who is the top dog at 154. But first Molina has to get by Charlo and that's no guarantee.

Lara has been racking up good wins recently. Molina, on the other hand, had an underwhelming performance against Ishe Smith.

Honestly, I think Canelo can beat Molina and maybe even Andrade can beat him.

He is a competent spoiler and a tough out for anyone except Floyd at 154, but I would hesitate to call him the best. People say he was robbed against Kirkland, but he may have been "robbed" of a KO loss. I mean, Kirkland did knock him down and hurt him. And I don't know how he would fare with a ref who doesn't let him get away with all that holding he does.
