Shame they couldn't get Mikey Garcia-Uchiyama for it. That's the fight I want.

I always wanted Broner to fight him.

    Uchiyama's pretty good IMO.

I seriously doubt MIkey will fight him. Heard that this is his last fight here and talks for Garcia/Pac are evidently starting to pick up. After this, they're probably going to one stop shop in each weight class until 147

Garcia just arrived at 130 a few months ago and now they are talking about him fighting one of the best fighters at 147? Are they crazy? Whatever happened to Garcia saying he wanted to unify 130, then move up gradually?
Mikey is being talked up to be TR's new star and they're going to try and get pac's name on his resume before he retires.... unfortunately, that's the way of the business and don't be surprised to see it next year

It will just ruin Mikey, nothing more. Besides, this kills any remnant of hope for Mayweather Pacquiao to happen while both fighters are still top fighters.
That's how they work. Unless they can keep Pac in until 2016 or 2017, they're gonna try and rush it. Garcia's their new star and they're going to try and set up a passing of the torch.

So what belts does/can Mikey scoop up on the way up to 47?

            Vasquez at 35?

He's gonna have a tough time at 40

Really why? When has he looked good?

Looked decent in the Salgado fight.

I've not seen too much in all honesty I've seen bits and pieces and he looks quite good. Nothing special obviously but one of the top guys at 130.

When I saw your post was last I knew exactly what it was going to be

Maybe Vasquez, but probably April. I think somebody else was waiting for him... but Vasquez is a good possibility since I think he's with Zanfer

I think Pac said he doesn't want to leave Top Rank

I'm thinking catchweight for Pacquiao vs Garcia.

If anything it'd be 144. I don't see Pac giving too much for this to happen.
