You're expecting Garcia to fight at 130 and 135 and 140 all in the span of this year, with less than 12 months left and then be ready by 2015 for 147??? If that does happen, then like Merchant said, Garcia is being rushed and he'll get destroyed.

I'd rather see Takashi Uchiyama vs. Takashi Miura II to unify the W.B.C./W.B.A. titles.
Uchiyama v Miura would be awesome but I'd like some of the better Jap fighters to get US exposure.

Why would Arum feed Uchiyama a prospect if Garcia is moving up?
That or he's trying to build up a WBA/WBC unification in Macao.
He's trying to build Japanese audience there with more Japanese fighters in Macao
I didn't claim it made sense, I just said I wanted to see Uchiyama fight

I wouldn't be surprised. They're supposedly moving to 135 after this and it's only January

Also, I don't know if Uchiyama is Teiken, but he fights in events co-promoted by them doesn't he? Since Arum is trying to make Linares/Alvarado.... maybe Honda is trying to cut another one of his fighters in

Yeah but that's another 3-4 months before he'll fight again, if it is at 135, that only leaves him with enough time for 1 more fight, maybe a max of 2 after the 135 move....well I guess he could have those final 2 fights at 140.

It's just too quick imo. Garcia looks good, better with each fight, don't rush him. Let him fight the best in his division and then against some of the really big stars like Pacquiao or Bradley or whatever TR have up their sleeve.

Bradley most likely leaving and Pac is why they're rushing him. His contract with TR ends this year.

TR should just forget about it....unless Pac is completely ancient by then

Doesn't look like Jose Felix will get a crack at Uchiyama on April 12th, he could end up facing Miguel Berchelt or Arash Usmanee #boxing

If it's on the Pac undercard, the card just lost a lot of luster
