If Lara can not get the fights he wants at 154, why not move to 160?

You cant call someone a coward who is in his 5th division and is 150 on fight night but the guy in his 1st divison who is 164 on fight night is the man. That doesnt fly straight. You have to be reasonable.

As for Lara, Im a huge fan and I dont think he should or has to move up. I also think people are sleeping on Canelo. There is no doubt in my mind that Canelo will fight Lara next if he doesnt get the Cotto-Sergio winner. I dont think he see's Lara as much different from Trout, especially if he kicks Angolus butt better than Lara did.

Still, I pretty much treat Floyd & Pac different, especially Floyd. These guys have moved up a ton and are super small at the weights. If they dont want to fight every single guy at there worst weight then Im cool with that. They are at the level anyways where all those guys should be fighting eachother to get to them. Theyve already put in there work. Like I said, how would Floyd look with a 15 or 20 pound advantage? he would kill a dude. He never has that. Instead the only fights that are fair is if he fight guys who are 20 pounds bigger than him. Thats not reasonable
Floyd and Pac have challenged themselves and have fought above where they belong successfully so why not against better or more dangerous opponents if Lara does move to 160 and beats someone of note everyone will be calling for him to do more of the same.

who knows if he stays at 154 he could hand mayweather his first loss and get his biggest pay day. Smart money would be to stay at 154 though Maywether would probably duck and dodge him. Especially since hes a southpaw

because there is a fine line. I mean is it really about challenging yourself or are you basically saying to fight at a disadvantage over & over again until you lose because thats what it basically starts to get at. Its not about challenging, its about going until you lose and then at that point people will turn and say you got exposed. Still, its cool but you have to hold others to the same standard. Why does a guy who has moved up more than nearly anyone in boxing, fought at a much lower weight than his opponent more than anyone in boxing, have to keep going until you find someone for him to lose against because at some point it will be too much. Then thats when you tell him to stop? Like ok, we found out this one was officialy too much so this is your limit? Its not a game like that. You have to be fair to a fighter and let him fight guys his own size sometimes......lol

How much does he weight on fight night?

I wouldn't mind a move to 160 him vs Golovkin would be pretty good.

He can get fights at 154 anyway look at all the fights he'd had, he'll get Canelo if they both keep winning.

What a fabulous surprise that the transparent motive for this thread was completely missed/ignored by you.

Why does Lara's weight on fight night mean anything? I'm just curious.

so you dont think fight night weights hold any value in boxing or were you just speaking in terms of if Lara should move up or not?

based on what? they were both winning before for years and they never fought. lara was fighting the much stiffer competition and canelo was fighting cans and old men but they were both winning and the fight was never close to being made. and if lara does actually lose someday....well his chance at a canelo fight is gone forever but if a guy like angulo or mosley loses many times he will still get a chance because.......boxing! so basically if lara keeps winning they don't fight, if lara loses they won't fight, maybe if lara......
