No announcement yet.
If Lara can not get the fights he wants at 154, why not move to 160?

Now I agree that Khan is if he picks him but the only reason I wont get upset about that fight like others do is because I think it guarantees a huge fight next. I just dont see Showtime signing off on Khan unless Floyd agreed to fight a Pac, or Lara, or Sergio, or something like that next
As I said Floyd is the best right? so he has to continuously prove it for as long as he is an active fighter against opponents who fans consider a respectable challenge otherwise he is more of a money making sideshow like a pro wrestler rather than a sportsman.

Its the same with the Southpaw stuff. People heard the Southpaw hype back in the day and cant get it out there head. He's looked much better in every single fight against Southpaws. Also, Mitchell didnt land anything on Floyd. If he did its only because Floyd had no respect for him and was just going to walk through him.
Floyd has more power & combo punching then you give him credit for but you arent going to land a ton of combos on a Southpaw. Ive always said there is only 2 ways to beat Floyd. If youre a righty you have no chance unless you are so big that Floyd just cant overcome it. He has mastered his D too much to get beat by a righty unless you are so big & strong like maybe a triple G.
Or you are a southpaw that catches him with a something that either stops him or hurts him for a long time like Forrest did Mosley in their first fight. Thats why guys like Lara, Sergio, Pac will always have the best shot but Floyd is still better then them at everything and you wouldnt think any of the 3 had any kinda chance if they werent Southpaws. Its a huge advantage

Besides, no one ever has fought somewhere until they do it. Should no one at MW want to fight Floyd since he's never been there? I thought that was ok?

You say ****** stuff like "let the guy fight a guy his own size every once in a while!"
You mean like Ricky Hatton, or Robert Guerrero, or Victor Ortiz, or Miguel Cotto, or Juan Manuel Marquez? Yes... let him fight someone his own size every once in a while...
Just accept that Floyd has no interest in fights that are compelling matchups stylistically. He wants to look good every time out, he picks fighters that will make him look good, and kudos to him for doing it. He's built himself a very lucrative career doing so.
That doesn't demean his skill level, but lets stop pretending that there is some other reason that every threatening fight is way out there and unfair to Floyd.

Wide looping punches that Floyd can see, give me a break. Life and death every fight of his career, thats Danny Garcia. Props to him for it, but lets not pretend he is some p4p skilled fighter who can remotely trouble Floyd.
Go right now and stand Floyd-Garcia-Lara-Sergio-Triple G beside eachother and watch how they look together and you see how much of a joke this is. The smallest guy of the group would be Floyd and Lara would be much close to the MW's in size than he is to FloydLast edited by DLT; 01-21-2014, 05:51 PM.
