It just shows what a stand-up guy Pac is now that he has promised to donate his entire purse to charity if he fights Floyd.

If you can show me an financial statement for Floyd and Pacquiaos revenues for theirs fights then I will agree with you.

There is no way Pacquiaos last fight only did 20 million dollars in revenue, do the maths. The gate alone was said to have been $8 million )yahoo sports) so what you are saying is PPV buys only amounted to $12 million worldwide.

If you count the international TV money paid so for countries such as the UK, Phillipines etc. That wouldn't amount to a few million if not more? HBO said Pac-Rios did 500,000 PPV, which is just over $30 million not bad numbers prob half the numbers Floyd did.

So far we have at least $38 million not counting international money and bear in mind Rios is a *****ty fight to begin with. Then count the guarantee from the Macau casino. I would wager it did about $50 million in revenue the tax paid in Macau is also significantly less than a fight in Vegas so imagine the revenue from the gate would be cut significantly less than any gate in the US. How much profit was made is a different story though, I would need more numbers.

Manny's guarantee was his PPV revenue

And using your numbers if the fight did 200 million in total revenue manny being paid 40 million would be equivalent to 20% of the PPV revenue.

40mill/total revenue for fight = Manny's percentage of PPV
These numbers tell a different story. This Is why Pacquiao deserved a percentage of the PPV revenue.

World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38 KO’s) has topped WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26 KO’s) in Pay Per View (PPV) buys for his last three fights. In addition Pacquiao’s live gate attendance far exceeds Mayweather during the same time span.

Manny’s last fight in November against Juan Manuel Marquez drew 1.41 million PPV buys, while Floyd’s fight last September against Victor Ortiz drew 1.25 PPV buys.
Floyd’s fight with Marquez in 2009 drew 1 million PPV buys.

Pacquiao’s fight with Antonio Margarito in 2010 drew 1.5 million PPV buys, while Mayweather’s fight against Shane Mosley drew 1.4 million PPV buys. Despite Mosley being perceived as a shot fighter, Pacquiao drew 1.3 million PPV buys in their May 2011 fight.

In total Pacquiao’s last three fights have drawn 3.86 million PPV buys, while Mayweather’s last three fights have pulled in 3.65 million PPV buys. In summation Pacquiao drew in 210,000 more PPV buys than Mayweather did.

For all the talk of Mayweather's pay-per-view power, Pacquiao's numbers are fairly comparable. In 15 pay-per-views -- several of which were smaller shows put on by Top Rank early in his career -- Pacquiao has generated 9.9 million buys and an estimated $525 million in revenue. Mayweather has fought on pay-per-view nine times, generating 9.6 million buys and $540 million in revenue.

The fact people are even arguing about this is pathetic. It's clear as day this just another classic mayweather excuse. "Oh I'll only fight pacquaio if he takes 40mil and NO ppv shares". Give me a break lmao.

Ok even assuming your numbers of 50 million how can you say PAC deserves 40% of PPV when he is only generating 50 million?

              40% of 200 million = 80 million
              30% of 200 million = 60 million
20% of 200 million = 40 million (packs revenue range)

              Get it now?

So you think Floyd is going to offer manny 40 million again lol he had his chance and now he will be lucky to get 15 million if he faces Floyd and he will not get any of the PPV money

That sounds a lot more greedy than the Arum you Floyd stans like to criticize. Only Floyd is allowed to make smart business decisions. Smh!

why do people constantly say the $40 million offer means pac would get "none of the ppv revenue"? Where exactly do you geniuses think the $40 million comes from? Hot dog sales? T-shirts and programs?? Get a grip.

Although the $40 million offer was not the greatest offer ever, it would have been the highest guarantee and the highest purse in Pacs career.

and for all the math experts doing their ppv calculations, dont forget that the cable distributors take about 45% of the ppv money off the top.........
