No way. It should be the other way around.

How would that work? If he rematches Groves and loses a decision, he brings nothing to the table (IBF strap) for a Ward rematch. If he fights Ward, loses, he can still come back to a big domestic payday.

Ward-Froch would always be there in my opinion.

Whether Froch loses or not, I still reckon they would stick him on PPV if he fought Ward.

Yes: if Ward is paying Froch handsomely, in a Las Vegas fight.

Hearn said yesterday that Froch would earn £5 mln (about $8.2 mln) for the Groves rematch...

Even if Froch was knocked out in the first vs Groves he'd still bring more money to the table than Andre Ward.

I think he said it was a 5 million pound fight.

Not that Froch would make 5 million.

... Rather this... OK... Then Froch would make about $4.9 mln...

This was an appointed IBF ref that didn't do his job properly. It should get looked into. That being said, there's little risk of anything happening, other than the IBF probably will assign a foreign ref.
Groves is appealing for what? Getting stopped when he was badly hurt and taking clean punches in a British ring? LOL....there's been FAR worse stoppages than that - see Kenny Anderson vs George Groves.

The judges didn't do their jobs properly in the DeGale fight. I think 2 of them scored the 12th for Groves which he clearly lost and it gave him the fight by 1 point. Very suspect.
