Pacquaio really has a big pair on him lol...this is the last thing I expected him to say publicly. It's a good tactic because in this situation he nulls two things the whole "arum" thing and "the purse thing". I will say I didn't want this fight this fight to happen last year but this dude seems to really really want the fight and i'm starting to really think it's not really about the money like folks have assumed..also don't believe he'll end up owing more than 20% of that $68 million..I been reading more on that Gcazal dude the philipino advisor that seems to be more involved now and I think this cat saw something in the Canelo and Guerrero fight that really has him thinking he could take it to Floyd. What spot? Floyd doesn't have a humanitarian rep to protect. You don't think a stronger stance would be for Manny to say he would donate his own share to prove he wasn't doing it for money? Now that would really put Floyd on the spot and not Force Floyd to donate his share especially since Floyd is on the A side.

But Manny has zero leverage at this point. He is a rapidly fading star who has no right to dictate anything to Floyd. Also, Manny saying something along the lines of, "I'll donate my purse to charity if you fight me Floyd" would be even more effective at putting Floyd on the spot.

Thanks bud for pointing it out that Manny was ready to do FULL urine test from DAY 1 and extra blood testing too. They just had a 10 day difference on cut-off dates yet those Floyd fans make it sound like that was not the case .....

No, it is not a stronger stance because it is not considered a charity event if Floyd is pulling multi-millions. If that happened, Floyds reputation would take a huge hit. That's assuming this all goes anywhere.

You leave out one important thing. At that point in time, Manny was making more money in boxing on a yearly basis and his fights were generating just a bit less on a fight basis, depending on who the fought (can make the difference - see Guerrero numbers).

So a $40 million guarantee on what people were saying can generate over $200 million possibly is a joke and even quite a few Floyd fans have admitted to that ..... you are one of the few who give Floyd a break on that for some strange reason!
