Khan should definitely try to avenge that loss if the opportunity knocks. As far as Matthysse, I stick by what i said, thoroughly beaten the entire fight. No way he can win, he doesnt have the skills. Khan on the other hand has a chance to win a rematch.
People make it sound here like Khan didn't get hit in the first two rounds and Garcia did nothing but take punches.
The next thing I'm going to hear that it was a lucky punch

You don't like the truth? Have you seen the fight without your pro lucas glasses?
Look man, I like both guys, always have, before the fight I said Danny would win but I'd like it if Lucas got the nod but the facts are as follows:
1. You say Lucas was outboxing Garcia before the eye injury, that injury happened bout round 6 or 7, you think Lucas outboxed him for 6 or 7 rounds. Don't be mad man, the first 2-3 rounds were close, you can say Lucas got those but then Danny started timing Lucas and that's Danny's game, he catches a fighters speed and adjusts so he can start timing him. This leads him to be a slow starter, like most counter punchers.
2. You say Lucas was making him miss with every left hook but it was a left hook that damaged Lucas eye LOL
3. Danny looked to ocntrol the fight from round 4 or 5 on wards, can't remember exactly which one but and this is a big BUT, Lucas was still having success until ****, the hook that shut his eye. Then something that had never happened before occurred, Lucas stopped throwing punches...
4. ...because he was afraid of what was coming back, it's normally what stops guys from throwing, that and movement when they can't hit the opponent. Danny was landing big, BIG shots from the middle of the fight on wards, mad props to Lucas for taking those shots.
5. When Lucas finally did open up cos he and his corner realised a KO was the only way he could win, what happens? Garcia lands a beautiful combination and Lucas hits the ground. Before the fight, Garcia's camp had spoken about working to Lucas' body, that's what they did and look at the results.
6. Garcia would have won by 115-112 on 2 cards and 116-111 on one card if it wasn't for the points reduction. That's an inarguable win.
7. Matthysse was supposed to destroy Garcia in "dos rounds" lol Garcia shut up all the hype train junkies.
Can you deal with that?

If Garcia fights Paulie, I think Paulie is harder fight than Khan.. it might sound crazy considering Khan beat Paulie, but I think Paulie's refined skills and experience will trouble Danny.
A lot of fighters stylistically seem fit to trouble Danny to tell you the truth, but the kid has grit and determination and he improves with each fight.

Danny Garcia to move up to 147 lbs after stunning Matthysse win, American star to seek Mayweather
by Jordan Stoddart
The Boxing Observer: September 17, 2013 Current unified light-welterweight king Danny Garcia has immediately set his sights on a lucrative move to the welterweight ranks after his stunning win over the feared puncher Lucas Matthysse at the weekend. As expected, the champion (27(16)-0) and his Argentinian rival stole the show on The One undercard in an incredibly competitive bout although it was the Philadelphian who produced the goods, knocking his man down in the 11th after battering the heavy betting favourite for most of the fight (Garcia landed an astonishing 48% of his power shots). Too many people had written off the likable American pre-fight with many enthusing that he would be stopped in a few rounds with the complete opposite actually occurring on Saturday night.
Garcia retained his WBA/WBC/Ring Magazine titles with the win which preserved his unbeaten record and introduced him to a massive mainstream market. “He’s dangerous in the early rounds. I knew that if I used my legs and made him miss that I would get him at the end. I’ve faced adversity before. He’s a great fighter, I take nothing away from him. He’s never faced adversity, he’s never been cut late in a fight. He’s never been twelve hard rounds with a legend. I’ve been in there with a lot of technical fighters, who hit me with some great shots and I ****** it up” Garcia stated.
Garcia has now cleaned up at 140 lbs with superb wins over Erik Morales, Amir Khan, Zab Judah and now Matthysse cementing his place as a bona-fide boxing star. It now appears he is ready to move up a weight-class and hopefully land mega-fights with the likes of Timothy Bradley, Devon Alexander and possibly Floyd Mayweather who all reside at welterweight. “I beat all of the best fighters at 140, what else do you want me to do? I beat everybody at 140. I beat two guys that I wasn’t supposed to beat and I beat them in fashion.”
Mayweather will be looking for some A-list names to complement his CV as he plans to complete his 6-fight, $250 million deal with Showtime which expires in 2 years. The American is looking to fight in May and September of 2014, and along with Amir Khan, Garcia could easily see himself as the star attraction should he of course take a necessary tune-up at 147 lbs. Angel Garcia, who guided his son to victory at the MGM Grand this weekend, is already talking up the tantalising all-American clash. “A fight between Garcia and Mayweather, I would call it the ‘holy war.’ It would be the holy war, because it would be two gifted fighters, spiritual fighters, that God put on this earth to fight. They are both blessed. Danny is blessed and Floyd is blessed,” he stated.
