going the Maidana route ,might be perfect for him, a great chance at winning a title in a second weight division against a guy I believe he can beat and beat well.

I really like watching Garcia and he deserves more praise than he has been receiving, people forget that 99% of observers thought Matthysse would destroy Garcia, yet Garcia beat him to such an extent that the Matthysse hype train has been permanently derailed.

I want at least 3 fights from Danny in 2014.

Not saying he deserves it, but Khan was boxing the brakes off of Garcia, was he not? Not to take anything from the way Garcia won, he finished him. Khan should definitely try to avenge that loss if the opportunity knocks. As far as Matthysse, I stick by what i said, thoroughly beaten the entire fight. No way he can win, he doesnt have the skills. Khan on the other hand has a chance to win a rematch.

I also see Danny easily beating Maidana, nice post. Too bad Maidana will not be his next opponent due to the Broner rematch.

Matthysse did a beter fight than khan against garcia. if one of them deserves a rematch with him is lucas. it was a close fight even when lucas was fighting with one eye

But just after the Lucas fight they said they move up at 147 immediately -- no rematch possible.

Lucas deserves a rematch but so does Khan. I doubt either happens, any time soon anyway. In all honesty, I think both were thoroughly beaten by Garcia, Khan got stopped and battered and Matthysse, by the end of the 12th was completely outclassed, hurt and troubled in every way.

Seriously, people have to understand the importance of the Lucas bout, it was for the number one spot of the division and alongside Ward, Martinez (kinda) and Wlad, Garcia is the only other all out champion in a division. Even Rigo doesn't have that pedestal cos his only truly world class win was against Donaire, Garcia has Khan, Morales, Judah AND Matthysse. Garcia was supposed to lose 2 of those fights.

Garcia KOd Khan and humiliated Lucas in the second half of the fight, I remember the commentators at the time were wondering why Lucas wasn't throwing shots any more, about after the 7th round, it's cos his eye was closed shut and he was afraid of tasting Danny's power, how often has that happened to the Argentine KO artist? Heck, when Lucas did try to open up what happened? He was knocked down lol

Garcia is THE BEST at 140, the only other fight for him at 140 is Prov but that ain't happening so why not try Porter or Maidana at 147, he beats both anyway.

Ye but that rematch seems to be on hold for the moment. In the meant time Danny can sit back, if the fight happens he can face the winner and then finish the year off by beating Porter/Brook/Alexander, a year like that would sell a legitimate Floyd campaign in 2015.

humiliation was what broner suffered against maidana, lucas was not humbled by danny at any time, if you want to believe that is fine with me. before lucas lost the vision of the right eye he was out boxing danny, he made him miss every time he threw the left hook.

Because "One eyed Matthysse" still kept fighting and "Two eye Matthysse" was outboxing and winning as predicted. Chances of shutting one of his eyes again are slim, so its better to avoid him. Its not as if they wanted the fight to being with.
