But there are definitely a lot of good amateur boxers who could beat seasoned pros, even without having godly records or winning Golden Gloves or Olympics.

Pete Rademacher tried to jump from amateur fights directly to the top of the pro game. Floyd Patterson & Zora Folley in his first two fights! Got knocked out in both fights, but big respect for the attempt.Comment

Ahh come on bro! You're either the heavyweight champion of the world or your not! And it was never a 2 headed dragon. There was one guy trying to fight everybody and another guy who wasn't. The just happened to share the last name.Comment

Well let's do the math. Vits has been pro since 1996 and has 1 legitimate title defense. That's one defense every 18 years. The Superbowl era started in 1967 if I'm not mistaken and the Cowboys have won it 5 times. That's once every 9.2 years. Realisticly they're doing almost twice as good as ole Vits!Comment

The WBC is like the BCS minus the C. Compared to being the real heavyweight champion its just a college bowl game, its meaningless in the big leagues. And as far as Vits dominance.....if the Cowboys played division 2 college teams nearly every time out they never lose either!
How about being the ONLY championship boxer NEVER to have thrown or landed LESS jabs.. less power punches or total punches in any fight he's ever been in.
Highest stoppage rate in the history of heavyweight championships (Briggs fight was a TKO no matter what the record shows)
Only CHAMPIONSHIP boxer never to have trailed on the scorecards past the first rd.
If he were doing all of this against BLIND homeless people In a braille boxing ring... he'd still be the ONLY ONE TO HAVE DONE SO.
Consider yourself schooled!Comment

Funny.. how he retired with 9 or 10 straight title defenses... if I were to cheat off your paper in a math class.... I'd be getting spanked by my moms for such poor grades.. In fact what is the record for most successful heavyweight title defenses before retirement? I can only think of Marciano but he died before retiring so that saved him from several losses... you're welcome!
But seriously, thank you for showing your immense ignorance. Marciano died 14 years after retiring.Comment
