Is the HBO Booth better without Roy Jones?

Still I would want Jones Commentating. I don't want him to end up getting hurt and that probably won't happen if he is wearing a tux.Comment

They are so much better without him. Just because he is a boxing legend doesn't make him a great commentator, I keep hearing people reference how knowledgeable he is, really? Multiple wtf moments every broadcast, especially his arguments with Max where he always tries to prove idiotic points that have evidence to the contrary. If he was just a journalist this forum would show no mercy. He is the biggest negative of HBO and Showtime's crew combined.Comment

No, I think Roy does a fine job. He points out things that Lampley and Kellerman miss. Sometimes though I feel like he wants to say something, but he can't cause he's on HBO.
Overall he's good, and they make a good trio.Comment

I personally think he's extremely inconsistent also. Sometimes he gives amazing commentary which makes Lampley and Kellerman look like amateurs at their jobs, but other times, he says strange stuff which reminds me of some of Merchant's odd quibs.Comment
