      I gotta give that title to Zab Judah. He became the united welterweight champion by beating Cory Spinks... Who is an okay boxer, but yeah, that's as good as Judah's victories get. He also got a gift decision against Matthysse, but I don't count that as a win. Otherwise, he's been beaten by every quality boxer he has fought. Definetely the most significant journeyman.

      Glen Johnson is definetely also worth mentioning, a true legend. Knocking guys like Roy Jones Jr. and Allan Green is out is pretty big for a journeyman.

      Darnell Boone is also pretty accomplished simply by the fact that he once KO'ed Stevenson, knocked Ward down and went the distance against some good boxers.
      I would have to say Butter Bean he's the only Journeyman ever to crack millions so I would have to say he's the most successful

        Zab Judah got many undeserved chances and money, he has never been an elite boxer, all was because he is a ***ish black " no offense, but this is the mere fact " , no one ever got those many paydays after his funny chicken dance

            Good pick, this is who I was thinking though he could also be described as a fringe contender. One of the best left hooks to the body from any level fighter I've ever seen.

                He made $3 million from the 3 Gatti fights - pretty good!

                Not sure he's a journeyman to me. Not in the true sense of the word anyway.

                Nowadays it seems like people think you're a journeyman if you take a couple of losses. lol

                  To me a journeymen is a fighter that will lose to the elite, will test the best and win some and definitely will smash the hype jobs, Bert Cooper comes to mind, Anthony Fletcher too, Martillo Roldan...

                    A "journeyman" is a boxer who has little or no expectation of winning his fights, thus he is said to be "along for the journey". They are generally competent boxers who possess solid boxing skills and/or the ability to absorb punishment. Often they were aspiring novices or even prospects, but were defeated and found to have limitations which relegated them to the role of journeyman.

                    Journeymen will often serve as opponents for young up and coming prospects and will often step in at late notice should a fight fall through. Journeymen are said to have little or no expectation of winning fights against contenders or gatekeepers, but this does not preclude them from having a winning record against less-skilled fighters.
