Nothing wrong with this fight. Shumenov is one of the other champions. A step to unification HAS to start somewhere. If Kovalev and Stevenson won't now, then somebody has to.

Kovalev vs Stevenson is the money fight in the LHW division, so let Hopkins and Shumenov do their thing too so that Stevenson and Kovalev go into their eventual matchup riding high.

Wow, don't know why everybody hates this fight. I think it's a good thing for the division. First everybody is knocking on Shumenov for not fighting anybody and then he gets a fight with Hopkins and it's just as bad? I think Shumenov is going to make a statement against BHop. He should win this one going away. Hopefully Stevenson/Kovalev happens and then the winners will have to meet.

At least Showtime, Hopkins and Shumenov are doing it! Unifying & have the balls and knowledge to get it done. Unlike Stevenson/Kovalev and HBO. That fight can be made but because none of them truly want it, it won't get done. It's as simple as this HBO has ALL the power in boxing, they have THE MOST money in boxing. They could simply state, we will pay for Kov/Stevenson fight. If Kov or Stevenson want to fight someone else that are B or C level fighters, no problem but they won't get paid by HBO. You will see them come to the table then! But HBO because of their cold war with GBP can't do because of their ****** pride. They have a limited amount of fighters now that they have to work with because of it.

Only because he was able to open up more offensively against a crap opponent.
Even B-hop has been more active than him going into the fight.

The only reason this fight is acceptable is because Shumenov is a champion. His footwork and "head movement" is atrocious... if it existed.
