What's up with all the negative posts. Finally 2 champs REALLY unify and most of you can just throw out negativity (as have I in the past). They truth be told NOT a one of you would have ball one to say anything to either Hopkins or Shumenov face or step into the ring with either of them. We all sit behind the cover of a keyboard spewing BS when most of you have never laced up a pair of gloves but hide and type on your keyboard s***and watch it from your couch eating! You can type back and lie and say how much knowledge you think you have by watching and reading from afar but you have no clue unless you have stepped inside those boxing rings. All these fighters, step inside those ropes and risk their life and health. Who are we talk to trash about them? You obviously love the sport as some of you waste a lot of time posting. But some people it is like talking to a wall, some will get it, some are just jealous. I am all for 2 fighters trying to obtain their dreams as we all should be.

this is about as evenly matched a fight as you can make with a 49 year old Bernard Hopkins. He wouldn't have much of a chance against kovalev or Stevenson, but he'd beat up the fringe contenders like he did with that guy last October whose name I've already forgotten. Shumenov is a step below the top and a step above mediocre, and should give Hopkins an interesting test in the twilight of the executioner's career. I approve.

Nothing wrong with this fight. Shumenov is one of the other champions. A step to unification HAS to start somewhere. If Kovalev and Stevenson won't now, then somebody has to.

Kovalev vs Stevenson is the money fight in the LHW division, so let Hopkins and Shumenov do their thing too so that Stevenson and Kovalev go into their eventual matchup riding high.

Wow, don't know why everybody hates this fight. I think it's a good thing for the division. First everybody is knocking on Shumenov for not fighting anybody and then he gets a fight with Hopkins and it's just as bad? I think Shumenov is going to make a statement against BHop. He should win this one going away. Hopefully Stevenson/Kovalev happens and then the winners will have to meet.
