this is about as evenly matched a fight as you can make with a 49 year old Bernard Hopkins. He wouldn't have much of a chance against kovalev or Stevenson, but he'd beat up the fringe contenders like he did with that guy last October whose name I've already forgotten. Shumenov is a step below the top and a step above mediocre, and should give Hopkins an interesting test in the twilight of the executioner's career. I approve.

        What were you expecting?
Dude was like a half statue in the fight
I don't really see how he can win against B-Hop

Hopkins gets the easiest of the 4 champions. Shumenov was barely moving.... absolutely 0 head movement!
He doesn't throw unless he' standing still.... Hopkins is going to destroy this guy.... the hell?

Seriously... Shumenov had numerous moments where he just stood there like a freaking rock... the absolute opposite you're supposed to do against him.

Yeah! I mean, who would want to see a 49 year-old champion break another record in a freely televised unification bout when you can pay for the privilege of watching stellar fights like Canelo-Angulo or Mayweather-Khan?

Good fight, Shumenov will be at his best and is not as bad as some people think. But he might be not experienced enough for Hopkins.
We know he was a verry good amateur though.

Dude doesn't move his head, he's a statue that's flat footed and moves like he has concrete shoes... also kovacs was able to land on him pretty easily
