Glovokin, why does he hit so hard? He's not that heavy or fast?

that's kind of ******. the guy is asking why is he heavy handed. so your answer is "he is heavy handed because he has heavy hands." smh
I didn't realize he didn't know what the concept of "heavy handed" meant till later on in the thread.

golokvin has an insanely strong core. he gets his power from shifting his weight at the hips and generating leverage with his shoulders and arms through technique.

he hits hard because he's strong as f#ck, and turns his knuckles over to address the target. he also has great timing, and his footwork for cutting off the ring is almost perfect. his feet are slow, but he uses them almost perfectly. when he gets a guy on the ropes he is in range and balanced.

Seriously, you guys are really dumb when it comes to boxing.

Nobody put the beatdown on Paulie like Khan did. I wonder why I bother coming to this site. Only one or two people seem like they actually know anything about boxing.
Khan actually didn't knock out Ortiz, he had a big points lead and the ref stopped it, or Ortiz quit on his stool if you believe Robert Garcia. Either way they were like 16 years old.

Regardless, this has NOTHING to do with my point that the amateurs were far different when Hearns was fighting. That's a factual statement. They didn't have the ******ed points scoring system and of course no headgear.

Look at his frame. He has a thick bone structure. It must be highly dense.

              He is a natural puncher.

And he benefited from a good teacher, to gain a solid foundation on basics, adding extra pop to his hard punches.

You guys didn't know - the word is GGG hands are the phantasmal essence of the boxers souls he takes once he's beaten them. That's why he's so powerful.

You're highly dense, with poor bone length.

It's the mechanics. Every punch he throws even the slow ones have his body weight behind it.
