Glovokin, why does he hit so hard? He's not that heavy or fast?

But marquez is still no GGG or Maidana is he? He "improved" but he will never become a freakish puncher ppl avoid, because it is something you are born with.

So to conclude what im saying is yes you can power train, improve accuracy and technique and hit harder, but you cant ever become like GGG or Adonis Stevenson.

I totally respect that you are training and sparring. Glad to know cuz it definitely adds validity to your arguments as you have experience to back it up. Good Stuff!!

All that heavy bag work and other training that pros do accounts for something so yes you do "improve" especially Emanuel Steward who trains for KO, but the point im consistently suggesting in my posts is you can be accurate, improve technique, settle down and "improve" but that all will never make you GGG or Thurman. These guys come along once in a while and are God gifted.
The amateurs were a lot different when Hearns was fighting, it wasn't the pitty pat stuff Khan was in.

But Yeah, I'm saying it's a combo of both. Hearns was born with freakish power but he had to be taught the proper techniques to utilize it.

tons of factors if he like many people who do manual labor young (im assuming he did being from Kazakhstan) tend to have a lil bit more strength than normal people who live in the suburbs (which would explain Provods power)
Technique is also another but you may think well what about paulie and bradly
Well there are tons of diff Techniques these guys were taught to box and use their speed from an early age thus never needing the urge to become a power puncher
while others who show more power than speed are shown to use more torque using legs as the base which is why they plant or become more flat footed than boxers who are on their constant toes while the later use more hips and arms for speed and scoring .

From years of baseball wrestling boxing ive always been told the legs are the root to power along with the amount of torque you can generate from your hips is what creats that explosion of power just like a pitcher uses to throw95+mph
At a young age my pops always said you wanna know who hits hard? look at the size of their calves and width of their backs and never understood it till i grew older you plant with your legs power goes up to the back to he fist thats how he taught me kinetic energy through sports

You expect a hard hitter to be explosive like Roy Jones Jr or Heavy like Foreman, or a combination of both like Mike Tyson.

You dont expect a slow light guy to hit hard.

Power = speed squared x mass or something like that.

        Your theories please.....
        Macklin is that you?

Do you guys know what you're talking about?

Khan had a sensational amateur career, Koing multiple fighters. He koed victor Ortiz in two rounds.

Seriously, you guys are really dumb when it comes to boxing.

Nobody put the beatdown on Paulie like Khan did. I wonder why I bother coming to this site. Only one or two people seem like they actually know anything about boxing.

Heavy hands and perfect technique equates to a tonne of power when you step into your shots, which GGG does with every punch he throws.

Those were the days of glory when young warlord Khan reigned over the boxing land, protected by his mighty warrior's helmet that some peasants call headgear.
