Ive always wondered why some guys are slow, light in weight, and yet still hit freakin hard.

You expect a hard hitter to be explosive like Roy Jones Jr or Heavy like Foreman, or a combination of both like Mike Tyson.

You dont expect a slow light guy to hit hard.

Power = speed squared x mass or something like that.

    Your theories please.....

Steroids make you strong, fast, and heavy/big. He looks strong, hes not going that fast and hes not heavy/big.

A lot of it has to do with how your body and muscle develop. It's like a pitcher in baseball or really any sport where repetition causes your body to form a different way...it was said he fought a lot as a kid and just naturally if your body develops like that it'll increase power, which is why they say you can't teach pure power....only technique.

          Interesting and I dont disagree.

But most pro boxers have been repeating the same/similar movements over and over all their life since they were children. He is no more mesomorphic than the average pro boxer.

Heavy hands,,, Duran was the same way,, some guys are just blessed with great power, plus ggg has superb punching technique

Julian jackson and donald curry are other guys that fight this mold, even james toney, he had quick hands but nothing super fast like a roy or manny, but toney packed a big punch

He has good punching technique and on top of that he seems very heavy handed. So that might be it.
