Floyd vs Lara? Y'all actually want this??

^^^^^^^^^From a competitive standpoint it's probably the best fight for Floyd from 154 and below. This is strictly speaking as a boxing fan. However, we can't deny it would be a very tough sell and the fight would probably never happen unless Lara were to KO both Canelo and Cotto to make a name for himself. Lara has no name recognition, selling power, appeal (can't speak English), fanbase, and his style would be deemed "boring" in the casual fan's perspective. Would I like to see it? Yes I would, because I feel that Lara actually has a shot to win if there's fair scoring and I always wanted to see Floyd put his skills up against a guy from the Cuban school of boxing. But realistically, I can't see this fight coming together.

So, the TS does not want Floyd to fight boxers with defensive/counter puncher style because its boring. So, basically Floyd only need to fight guys going forward like Ortiz, Canelo, and Cotto.
And you say Floyd-Lara is boring fight, well Floyd's fight has been boring in awhile now. He only sells his fight with his mouth.
The TS is just scared for Floyd cuz Lara has a chance to beat him.Comment

I like exciting fighters like Roberto Duran, so you're calling him a punching bag.
And this is boxing, hands get broken all the time.
Duran would give me a hug for calling him an exciting fighter, and not a "runner" like he has stated before.
You replied to the Topic starter, who was comparing a Lara vs Cotto Floyd fight. Saying that Cotto is an exciting fight, while Lara would be boring.
This is what happens when you watch too many Lara fights, you fall asleep and dont' learn anything.
lol
I said I didn't mention him you are the one who compared Duran to all the guys who I think are punching bags without even knowing them even tho you should, and your answer is Include Duran with that lot a guy who actually could box as well as brawl which you had no fking idea of because even in my sleep id still know more about boxing than you. If not your answer when I tell you my guys are better than yours wouldn't always be "but my guys....they're exciting doe"Comment

Exciting fighters are better at getting fans off their seats.
Boring fighters are better at getting fans off their seats...and out of arenas

Lara would give floyd hell. Lara is a fast, southpaw counterpuncher. Not only that but he's at 154. Lara would give money problemsComment

Don't care about Showtime or Floyd losing money taking this fight. Don't even care it will be boring. Just know a real threat to Floyd when I see one. Floyd has no offensive power to trouble Lara. And I believe Lara is just as fast or even quicker than Floyd. It's all the wrong things for Floyd and which is why he will duck this one.
Add Lara to the Floyd duck list.
Uhhh...your opinion means nothing to Money, he's got four fight left. he goes to 154 lbs for "Money FIGHT". He is not a career 154 lber.
Money started his career at 130 lbs...El Oro de Guantanamo fought at 160 lbs in the amateurs.
All those fighter I named couldn't beat Money if they were in his natural weight class but the weight advantage will help them beat Money hence why he wouldn't move up to fight them.
El Oro de Guantanamo is a career 154 lber, why fight him especially when Money always weight like 150 in all 3 154 lbs appearances.
Money gave up his 154 title when he won it from Oscar because he not a 154 lber, he only goes up to 154 for BIG money fights...El Oro de Guantanamo is NOT a big money fight, no casual fans will pay for this, PPV numbers will suffer and Showtime/Goldenboy will not be happy so it won't happen.
If El Oro de Guantanamo was in Money natural weight class, Money would neutralize him...a guy that draws with the King and the Nightmare, struggles with El Perro and losses to the Punisher (questionable) (all good fighters but not ELITE) will not beat Money, who ring IQ is better than the aforementioned.Comment

Considering what's out there to be made I think this would be one of Floyd's tougher challenges..Comment

Disagree completely with it being a tough sell, actual boxing fans know how good Lara is, Cuban immigrants make up a big contingent of New York and Florida, to the guys who want to see Mayweather fail you sell the world amateur gold medals and the fact that here's a guy that beat Trout much easier than the previous bogeyman Canelo, finally there is the most avoided guy in the 154 division tag to give him!
Then Money Team lackeys like you guys, no matter how "boring" you think it is, will still buy Floyds PPV quicker than you can get an Adrien Boner!
If May vs Guerrero can do 1M buys then Lara can do a mill easy, maybe 1.3 depending on the undercard and All Access
Money vs. the Ghost did 875,000 buys...his lowest since 2007. Showtime lost money on that fight, they will not do that again. There are not enough hardcore boxing fans to get Money his standard PPV numbers, he needs the casual fans in addition and they will sh ! t all over this fight.Comment
